This is the first time I have been put on any kind of morphine medication. Prior to this I was taking the max amounts of Norco & Percocet at least 6 per day & they just never worked for me. I recently went for some tests & as a result I have a million things going on ...all cause severe pain. I finally went to a PM dr. who was very good & looking at my history before she gave me the emg, she could...

This is the first time I have been put on any kind of morphine medication. Prior to this I was taking the max amounts of Norco & Percocet at least 6 per day & they just never worked for me. I recently went for some tests & as a result I have a million things going on ...all cause severe pain. I finally went to a PM dr. who was very good & looking at my history before she gave me the emg, she could tell by looking at my joints that there were major problems all resulting in pain. She suggested a strong MS med. along with break through meds but wanted me to go to an RA DR. She claimed they are more up to date on meds than she is for situations like mine. I have been taking Embeda 60mgs twice a day along with 10mg. of Norco as a break through med.when needed. I don't have any side effects & the pain has gotten me 60% better so far. I am hoping that in time it will work even better for me. I don't know whether or not it takes time for meds to work in your system for a while to feel the full effect. I hope it continues to work or he can adjust the dosage. He claims he started me off on a strong dose but he does see that I have a very high tolerance. I also have COPD so that of course is why I have to be extra careful as well. I love the fact that I feel clear headed & not groggy.
