My hot flashes are now under control I still have terrible vaginal dryness, redness and burning. I am irritable and am gaining weight despite an almost raw diet, (with protein from lentils)and I ride my bike 60-90 minutes 5 days a week, with some weights for toning my arms. It seems like my body no longer responds to ANY form of exercise. I am so frustrated and my sex life is done. I see my OBGY...

This medication has worked completely for me, except I have gained so much weight and my hair has fallen out so bad I had to get it cut very short. I feel there should be something better out there. But I don't have any hot flashes.

Started it when I began having horrible hot flashes, trouble sleeping, irritability and all the usual menopausal symptoms. I have been on it 8 years. When my dr. and I tried to take me off the HRT, about a week later the symptoms came back full force. No way I was going to suffer again so I have been on Activella(Mimvey) ever since. My doctor has no problem with that as I feel good and it helps with bone loss. I just turned 65 and will stay on this as long as I does not cause any problems.

Finally sleeping all night after weeks of waking up 4 to 5 times and not being able to go back to sleep. Has helped in being able to focus and concentrate at work, which was probably due to being sleep deprived. Some headaches and dizziness at first, but that has passed. Feeling a little emotional with some depression still but intend to ask my ob/gyn about this on my next visit.

Started med after menopause. Been taking it three+ years and have tried to stop, but hot flashes, night sweats and sleeplessness returned. Much better w meds . I walk 3-4 times a week and watch what I eat as I have Type I diabetes, so I think the weight gain has been marginal. Overall, helps me a lot.

I can sleep finally and hot flashes have stopped. I have gained weight but I feel so much better I guess I would rather be fat and happy.

My primary symptom was hot flashes that woke me up several times per night. After about 10 days on this medication, the hot flashes were completely gone. I had no side effects. After a year, I decided to discontinue the medication. It took a couple of weeks but the hot flashes returned full force. I got back on Mimvey and 10 days later, all was well. I wish I did not have to take this but it works for me.

I have been on this pill for 6 days and am already losing tons of hair in addition to my usual hair problem. I am getting off it immediately and will deal with hot flashes and mood swings instead.

After about 10 days my hot flashes suddenly stopped. Prior to taking mimvey I had been waking up every 2 hours drenched in sweat, so, the improved sleeping is great. I do feel like maintaining my weight is getting more difficult, but so far it hasn't been dramatic. I do not feel an increase in appetite, more of a heaviness in the abdomen, somewhat like water retention, which I have often had problems with. Bottom line--so far (2 weeks) the benefits outweigh the burdens!

After taking this medication for only 3 weeks I've noticed getting "very" irritable, pain in my left calf, put on quite a bit of weight, soreness in my breasts, headaches, and the emotional roller coaster is horrible. Needless to say, I'm OFF this medication!!!!

It takes forever to get it into my system. If I don't take at exactly the same time each day...all hell breaks loose. I have to go home , take looon cold shower and go to bed. That is unexceptable. When it works, it works. I does exactly as I expect it to.

I I have been using Mimvey for 6 months and I really thought I was going CRAZY! I got up every morning feeling great and the about an hour after taking my vitamins & Mimvey, I would start feeling nausea & then throwing up after which the head ache would start. I have been depressed and feeling like I wanted to kill someone. I have gained 20 pounds, lost my job, afraid to leave my house, my hands were so swollen, bloated so bad I thought I was going to actually BLOW UP. The head aches would just hit me and I couldn’t do anything! I wanted to die & I was thinking about ending it all. My life was out of control. Thank God I finally read the side effects & stopped taking MImvey. Read More Read Less

It has taken care of my hot flashes, however, I have turned into an emothional crazy lady. Everything makes me mad, like I am PMS or something. I am going to ask to lower my dosage a try that.

I gained 7 lbs in 2 weeks. Appitite increased dramaticly. 1st wseek felt normal, then week 2 was back to the mood swings and other female problems. My breasts were so sore, that it hurt to even walk fast, lay down to wear/not wear a bra.

Have taken it just 2 days and both nights I layed awake for hours and hours unable to sleep, even with increasing the dose of the normal prescription medication I take to help me sleep which normally lets me sleep like a baby. Not impressed so far!
