Started taking this medication a week ago and at this point I love it. I have been suffering with IBS-C for years now with no relief from any medication/diet alteration. The only slight problem I have with this is that on days that I have to work dayshift (I am a nurse) it is nerve wracking to make sure to get to a bathroom when I need to have a BM in the AM after taking. None of my BMs have been ... Show Full Comment

In the past, I was on 30mg of Morphine Sulphate 2 x a day with 50mcg of Fentynyl for a chronic pain situation involving a Complete Reverse Left Shoulder replacement, a spinal fusion of L4-L5, and a right hip replacement. In 2012 had a small bowel resection for an obstruction. Consequently the chronic OIC started. Had taken Lactilose, Relistor, Trulance, etc. Still no substantial relief. Start ... Show Full Comment

I too have experienced some of the side effects but I do not take the pill every day. I plan the days Im going to be home and take it. When I have appointments and have to leave the house I dont take it. The MAIN THING FOR ME IS IT HAS STOPPED THE HORRIBLE PAIN. I WOULD RATHER HAVE The diarrhea then the crippling pain

I have had bowel issues for years, the latest being IBS with constipation. I have been taking 290 Linzess for 2 weeks now and have not been able to work due to the explosive diarrhea and since bathrooms are not readily available on my job I'm afraid of an accident. I have been taking it at 3am the last 2 days, and after few hours I appear to be empty. Monday I'm going to attempt to work pr ... Show Full Comment

I've been taking Linzess for 2 years. Very unpredictable. Extreme bloating and weight gain. Constant dry mouth causing my tongue to crack. I drink lots of water, but it never seems like enough.
