I have been on Belviq for five weeks and have lost 11 lbs. I am taking 2 pills a day. Side effects at first were sleepiness, feeling cold all the time and some muscle weakness. Now I just have dry mouth and i have a hard time getting started in the morning which is unusual for me. I just had bloodwork done and cholosterol is finally in normal range and all other results were excellent. All cravin...

I've tried several different weight loss medications. My doctor recommended this because she thought it would be a good fit. Described it as appetite suppressant. Didn't do a thing!!! Did the 15 day trial then paid over $150 including the $75 off coupon. I'm going back to Phentermine. Belviq is worthless. Don't waste your money on this or Qysimia. It's also worthless and extremely expensive. And n...

Only problem is the expense, even with manufacturer discount card, nearly $120 a month!

I have been on Belviq for over a week and have lost 6 pounds so far. I'm taking it for weight loss to ease the pressure on my knees (osteo-arthritis). I really do not want the knee replacement and I'm not keen on a gastric sleeve. I cannot exercise a whole lot and Belviq is helping with my hunger. I quit smoking in June and I have been ravenous for snack foods. I have replaced them with fruit and salads. I just hope it continues to help curb the hunger...Only 94 pounds to go!

This my second go round with this drug. The first time I took it in 2016 and lost 30 pounds in 3 months. Then it stopped working for me and I started eating everything around me again with no control. I stopped taking it for a month and started again but it still did not take care of my appetite. My side effects were pretty severe to begin with and then subsided some. I was fatigued, foggy, joint pains, back pains and thirsty ALL of the time. After talking with my doctor we decided to try it again now. I still have the same pains just not as bad as the first time and they are going away, except the back pain. Today is day 17 and I am down 12 pounds. Appetite is under control and I have NO desire to eat sweets or drink sweet tea or sodas. I am making better food choices and usually get a walk in each day. I hope it continues to have this effect and not stop working the way it did 2 years ago.Read More Read Less

I started taking Belviq twice a day in November 2018 it is now March of 2019 and I have lost 28 pounds. It has helped me not think about food all the time, eat smaller portions and make better decisions of what I am eating. I have been tracking calories on the lose it app on my phone. The only down side is I finally found something to help me and the price is tough but they just put the price up another $20 which stinks. I haven't had any side effects from Belviq.

I have been on this very costly drug for 2 months now the first month I lost 5 lb the second month I gained 3 I still experienced cravings 4 carbs and sugars my meal portions stayed small though I didn't have energy to add exercise to my diet after a long day at work it's my first week without Belviq and I have occasional headaches and I am feeling a little weird can't explain exact details but nothing severe if I had to do it again I would not take this medication.

This medication works really well , I don mean to sound like the Diet Queen bit I've literally did everything thing lipo, phen phen , more lipo, ACV, liprodene , stinger weight loss physician , everything and some worked but nothing major and soon as i would eat anything I gain back 10 pounds , but Belviq is the best it decreases my appetite greatly its 3 wks and Ive lost 10 pounds eating oatmeal and fruits for breakfast with honey no sugar and lunch backed chicken , rice and vegetables then for dinner if I'm hungry another oatmeal cup or bowl of cereal special k never the super k bars( gain weight like crazy) and plenty of water your gonna want water anyway your body craves it and some headaches and tiredness especially ladies during your cycle I was tired like I was walking for 10 miles , BUT IT WORKS and my Dr wouldn't sign for it but my minute clinic did 40 bucks visit and 60 day supply 10mg 2x a day and I registered for the Belviq coupon and saved $200 and paid $95 dollars , well worth it for all the money I splattered on BS!Read More Read Less

I started this med in Christmas 2017. It is now almost April 2018. This is NOT a miracle weight loss drug. It only suppresses appetite, not rids your body of calories you eat. It still takes calorie counting, healthy choices, and some workouts, even if just walking. In this time, I've lost almost 17 lbs. Again, not a miracle. I have a support system, a doctor, and use My Fitness Pal to keep count. I still hit plateaus and some minor set backs on days I went over the calorie limit. I set small goals every 2 months or so for motivation. If I work out every day, husband gives me a massage for motivation. This drug takes a minimum of 12 weeks to work, so give it time. I started with intense migraines, so bad I couldn't function. But those were gone in a week or two. It got better if I ate or drank a lot of water when I took the pill. I miss one occasionally, but it's not a big deal. Again, not a miracle pill - all it did was curb my intense cravings so lower calorie meals were possible without feeling cranky or left out.Read More Read Less

Took for 15 months. Had rapid heartbeat that went away after a few weeks. Should've stopped medicine then. Didn't. Took 5 days to kick in. It was no match for PMS & emotional eating. Not a magic pill. Some weeks I lost, some I gained. Uneven. Was afraid it would affect my heart if taken too long since you can't be on for it for more than 2 years. I was diagnosed with PCOS 8 years ago and gained 50 lbs. Lost 35 on my own, gained back 25. Next step was Belviq out of desperation. Greedy pharma company kept raising price. Talking to a human at Eisai is VERY hard. Once it hit $100/month (with "discount"!), that was it for me. Had no problems getting off the med. For the last 3-4 days of my prescription I took 1 pill a day instead of 2. Lost 15 lbs. I exercised 4-5x/week, but did that long before med. 1200-ish calories per day per my nutritionist. (I'm only 5'1.) Wouldn't recommend. I doubt I would take any other diet med in the future after this. From my experience it's way, way too soon to review this med after days or weeks. Stay on it for months to see how it really affects your life. Things change and ppl don't update their reviews to show that. Read More Read Less

I have only been on Belviq since 9/20. I take it as directed. I have noticed zero change in my appetite and weight. I had a horrible headache for about 3 days. no other side effects. For the price I've paid I am very unsatisfied.

Terrible experience, worst diet pill ever. It gives you terrible migraines , makes you want to vomit and feel dizzy. To make matters worse it did not curb my appetite. I found myself wanting to eat more often. I have taken a lot of different diet pills and and this one is a nightmare. I wouldn't take it anymore even if it was giving to me for free!

I have been taking for two weeks. I am on a 1000 calorie diet and feel anyone so restricted can loose. I am hungry all the time. I will give it more time but honestly, for the cost, I'm still searching for any benefit.

Today is day 4. Never experienced the headaches but do sleep a little more---no complaining there. I have to admit that today is the first day that I've noticed the decreased appetite. Also have slight dry mouth issues but it helps to increase my water intake. I'll keep you posted

I took this medication for three weeks. I did not experience any decreased appetite, in fact I felt hungry all the time. Additionally, I experienced the side effect of being tired/foggy. I stopped taking it, and the tired/foggy feeling went away. Trying Orlistat next.

I took this medication for 3.5 weeks as directed. It did nothing to suppress my appetite at all. The side effect I experienced was constant foggy-head or drowsiness. I have stopped taking this medication and the side effect immediately went away.

On med for 1 week-some stomach discomfort and some constipation. Expensive $226/mo with GoodRx coupon. Cannot afford long term. Will take the months supply. No results as yet-actually feel more bloated.
