I have been on Belviq for five weeks and have lost 11 lbs. I am taking 2 pills a day. Side effects at first were sleepiness, feeling cold all the time and some muscle weakness. Now I just have dry mouth and i have a hard time getting started in the morning which is unusual for me. I just had bloodwork done and cholosterol is finally in normal range and all other results were excellent. All cravin...
I've tried several different weight loss medications. My doctor recommended this because she thought it would be a good fit. Described it as appetite suppressant. Didn't do a thing!!! Did the 15 day trial then paid over $150 including the $75 off coupon. I'm going back to Phentermine. Belviq is worthless. Don't waste your money on this or Qysimia. It's also worthless and extremely expensive. And n...

I have taken Belviq for appox 2mo now. No major side effects at all. A marked decrease in cravings. No urge for desert or carbs and helps me stick to my plan. I've also noticed it also reduces cravings for alcohol as well, which also really helps me cut the calories. It really just helps you make much better decisions, stick to a plan and greatly reduces the urge to eat bad foods + makes you full faster. A really amazing drug so far!

Before taking this drug I was hungry all day long even though I was eating way more than required to begin with. On this medication I have no urge to snack and do not even have breakfast in the morning. Light lunch and small dinner is all and I am not even that hungry but eating with my family during those times out of habit. I am loosing approx 5 lbs per week started at 195 now at 179. My goal is 135. I feel good with no apparent side effects, sleeping through the night.

After 1 month on Belviq, had followup visit with Dr last week. My BP average dropped about 8 points (128/65 to 120/60), psoriasis is clearer than it's been in 30 years, arthritis is better (I can make a tight fist immediately on waking for the 1st time in about 8 years), and I am sleeping better. Stopped BP med, stopped lasix, cut cholesterol meds in half, stopped using arthritis gel, using about 1/3 as much psoriasis meds. Increased daily carbs from about 200 g to about 300 grams while keeping fasting glucose consistently 80-95, so getting more nutrients and maintaining weight at 184 (down 10 lbs). I can now eat an apple in the evening without my blood sugar being over 100 the next morning. Yes, I'm a guinea pig, but I'm a believer. Nothing negative about the experience (so far). I see a cardiologist twice a year, and my PCP twice a year, and get comprehensive lab tests twice a year, so I feel like I would know pretty quickly if I got any negative effects. Targeting weight loss of about 1 pound a week for the next 14 weeks.Read More Read Less

Belviq sets guidelines of success at 5% weight loss after 90 days. I have been on the product for only 19 days and on day 18 had lost 13.5 lbs. That is a 5.2% weight loss. My blood pressure, both Systolic and Diastolic, has dropped over 10 points each since starting the drug. My BMI has also dropped by 3 points. All this with Absolutely Zero side effects. In two weeks I have a progress appointment with my doctor and can't wait to see my blood work results then as compared to my starting blood figures. I believe that Belvic may be one of the most underrated new drugs on the marketRead More Read Less

I have been taking Belivq for 30 days. I just had my 30 day follow up with my doctor. My starting weight was 216 and my current weight is 204. I work out 4 days a week and take Belviq twice a day. The drug really works. In the past I would become really hungry after a workout then eat a big meal. I was never be able to lose weight. While taking belvic, I no longer feel hungry after the workout and the weight comes off. I have had no side effects other than sleeping better than I have in many years. Read More Read Less
