Xartemis XR was prescribed to be as an alternative to Norco to treat severe pain I was having. It kicked in within 20 minutes and lasted over 10 hours. The only two down falls from this drug was that it made me extremely drowsy (to be expected) and I got very itchy from it.

Xartemis and nausea Almost as soon as I took the first dose of one pill, I started feeling nauseated. I stopped after three doses, and, four days later, am still very sick to my stomach. It's a shame because it did help with the pain, but I can't stay glued to the house for fear of having to run to the bathroom. I'd like to know how long it takes for this to pass completely out of your system. I...

When taking my first dose it seemed to work with some shortness of breath, having never been on any pain medication before this time. After 5 months of being on this medication I feel it is not relieving the pain in my hands but it is a great relaxation med. and helps with fever. Taking this for SLE, RA, and Myositis. While experiencing pain all over your body you think this would extend all the way down to your hands.

Tjis is the worst drug on the market. There is no pain relief, and I go 42 hours without sleep. Waiting to see the doctor is killing me.

Less than 30 minutes after taking my first pill I felt like I had taken speed. After 2 hours my back was still hurting and I had nervous energy and a headache. After 6 hours I still had pain and I was irritable and still had a headache. After 7.5 hours I tried to go to bed but could not sleep. I do not like speed mixed with my pain medication. I will not be taking my next dose, instead I will go back to my 5-325 oxy and just take 1 1/2. Adding time release to a medication for pain just does not work. Also got the same feedback from another patient perscribed the same med. Very expensive too.Read More Read Less

Well, that's what I usually weigh; I've lost several pounds in the past few days.Read More Read Less
