I have tried every 'miracle drug' there is for my Crohn's. I have even tried thalidomide and cyclosporin infusion and pills. None had worked before Entyvio. It took months and infusions every 4 weeks as opposed to 8 wks. but IT WORKS! I had been through 2 resections and 2 surgeries for adhesions from said surgeries over 10 yr period. I am finally in remission. I had one of the most severe cas...

I've been receiving infusions for 8 or 9 weeks and it has done ZERO for me. I know it's still early but if anything I am worse now than before I began this treatment. It's very disappointing considering how outrageously expensively this drug is. I'll give it another 8 weeks or so but so far I am not at all impressed.

I've had crohn's disease now for 23 years and tried nearly every medication, the best one yet was Humira, but the doc's changed as they said my flare readings were going up, although I had never felt better. Switched to Stelara in Nov 2022, and only lasted 12 months, had 5 flare ups during the 12 months period. Switched to vedolizumab Nov 2023, for me, this stuff is good, no pain, no grumbling tummy, no wind, well apart from the usual. I am due to receive my latest flare numbers soon and hope it's coming down (fingers crossed). I have had a bad cold for 6 weeks, but that is going, but I do feel extremely tired, but it's worth it to have no pain.Read More Read Less

Ive been getting this medicine for a little bit now but I'm in pain and I'm tired and I get sick all day after I get my infusions. And I shake really bad and I have a lot of fatigue and body aches and not to mention the horrible headaches I get. But I've been on multiple medications and none have worked so far. I've had to leave work after my infusion medicine because I've been lightheaded and throwing up.

I have not only gotten worse but multitude of new problems and doctors show no care. Since entyvio my Crohns is way worse, I have high blood pressure (never before), crippling anxiety, lack of sleep, palpitations, all gets worse with each infusion. I was willing to give it a try I will not use this any longer. Worst mistake I could of made for Crohns medicine choices. Three days after first infusion ER with 200/100 BP and doctors said not related. It is beware

DO NOT TAKE ENTYVIO!! I was put on this for my Ulcerative colitis after having bad experiences with other treatments including getting gout from my last pen I was using. This cleared up a bad flare up I.was having but by god I'm paying for it in other ways. 1. My hair has become brittle and falling out. 2. I've no energy and 0 immunity against anything. I can't even fight a common cold. 3. I starred out with shingles and its now turned into chicken pox. This medicine can also trigger cervical cancer go and read thier warnings on thier website. DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE!!!Read More Read Less

Pain in my wrists, fingers ankles and lower back. It is not listed as a side effect but my hair is falling out so bad I might need a wig. The side effects outweighed any benefits.

Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis over 20 years ago. Allergic to sulfa and mesalamine. Always used prednisone to treat flares when needed. Used entocort for a few years. When it stopped responding I had a flare up losing 25 pounds. Recovered with uceris and autoimmune diet including prescription strength probiotics. Took a year to get under control. 3 years later another flare started. On uceris one year straight. Couldn’t get flare to completely stop. Bleeding daily almost 6 months. Started to become anemic so I decided I would try Entyvio. Very scary for me because I’m allergic to a lot of medications. Including ones people aren’t usually allergic to. First infusion I developed hives 7 minutes into the infusion. Was given Benadryl in IV. Restarted medication after 30 minutes. Everything seemed fine except minor itching. Went home took a 3 hour nap. Woke up with more hives/itching, fever, headache, sore throat, ear pain, runny nose on one side, abdominal pain and tenderness, bloating. This continued on the next 6 days along with panic attacks, joint pain and body aches, swollen lymph nodes. Overall feeling of something toxic in my body. Headache was migraine like and lasted 2 days solid but kept trying to come back. I lived off Tylenol and Benadryl for 6 days straight. I noticed I was losing more hair when I washed it. I reported the side effects to my doctor. He acted like he didn’t believe all those things happened. He said the medicine only targeted the intestines and these side effects couldn’t have happened. Bleeding continued the next 3 weeks, then seemed to stop. It’s been about 6 weeks since the first dose. I didn’t take a second dose due to everything that happened. Still taking uceris. I actually think it did help me but I don’t know if it’s worth all the side effects. Trying to decide what to do.Read More Read Less

I'm 45 had uc proctitis for many years. Frequent steroid use to alleviate symptoms with also mercaptopurine and anti inflammatory tablets too. Now after these no longer work for me I have been lucky enough to receive, so far 2 of 3 vendolizumab infusions. Amazing. This stuff in a very short length of time, a few weeks perhaps, and my ulcerative colitis symptoms have gone. Like really gone! Very minimal side effects at all, and to be honest the side effects could very easily be attributed to the ulcerative colitis in the first place. I hope this stuff keeps doing what it's doing as honestly it's a miracle so far!! Read More Read Less

Started on this medication about 6 months ago during a flare up with my crohns. At first it didn't seem to be helping as my condition continued to get worse. I ended up in the hospital a couple months in. After that stay though and continuing the infusions, my health is back to normal. The medicine seems to be doing its job.

This medication is amazing. First infusion and my symptoms gradually went away. The joy of going to the bathroom less frequently is a blessing. There are minor side effects such has sinus headache; fatigue and sinus pressure, but this are all small issues compared too everything crohn's flare comes with.

This review may be a bit premature as I received my first dose 4 days ago. I didnâ??t have any negative side effects other than possibly a little fatigue. So far I have less cramping and less urgent trips to the bathroom. Overall feel better. Iâ??ve had moderate to severe crohns for over 30 years

Tried Entivio for UC . The drug helped my symptoms, but the side effects were not worth it for me . Severe sinus issues , even a year after I have stopped . Skin growths developed , and I gained 40 pounds all in the belly area that will not come off . Also had bad headaches .

39 Male. 5â?11 185 lbs. Ulcerative Colitis. Diagnosed in 2008. Symptoms/Flairs began in 2003. Possible effect from Accutane. Took Lialda and Balzalizyde - worked for a short time. Flairs always came back. Been on Entyvio for 9 months. Longest stretch w/o a flair. Itâ??s working for me. Soo relieved. Yes, I experience side affects. Joint pain and back pain, neck pain, fatigue weeks after infusion. Some sleep problems. I will take the side effects over the flairs all day every day. Worst flair lasted 3 months and lost 65 pounds and felt I was dying. We will see what the long term effects are...but for now I am thankfulRead More Read Less

Has helped w/ crohns in my large intestine but not my small intestine. Have trouble breathing several hours after infusion, along with headache and the feeling of being poked with needles all over my body. Bruising at iv site, swollen hands and feet. Feeling tired and having no energy. I have noticed increased anxiety since my 1st infusion. Have had several infusions over last year every 8 weeks and same Side effects every time.

Have been on Entyvio for 3 years. It has worked for me, symptoms are almost gone, my overall condition is much better. Tried Humira as first biologic with little relief. Was on Entyvio about 4 months before started to get relief. Initially was on an 8 week cycle but now on 6 week dosing.
