I have been on this inhaler for 30 days and when I ran out, I realized how short of breath I was and rushed to get it refilled. I have not had to use ProAir rescue inhaler since I started this med.

I was previosly using Foradil Aerolizer, which worked fine. The VA switched me to Striverdi-Respimat stating that Foradil was now considered a non-formulary prescription. I could not walk 10 feet on the Striverdi without gasping for air. There was also crushing pressure in my upper chest. I was told to try it a few weeks to give it a chance. I couldn't leave the house! I begged for the Forad...

I was put on this when my insurancedecided to stop covering Serevent which I'd been on for years with great success. I have been unable to inhale a full does at least 90% of the time. The instant it hits my lungs I start coughing uncontrollably and the mechanism of delivery makes it impossible to not lose the dose(through holes in the mouthpiece) or get the whole does at once since it comes out in a long stream. My lungs have progressively gotten worse since I started it six months ago which had beeniraculously better since I'd been on Serevent(and other similars insurance wouldn't cover at the start 5 years ago) but due to the extreme loss of medicine a 30day cannister is now empty after only 22 days, trying to get a full dose but failing miserably, getting worse every time because of the lack of medication over time. I can't speak to the efficacy of the actual drug because I haven't ever been able to consistently take it as directed. I have copd/bronchial asthma both and have been using my rescue inhaler 10-20times as much as the prior 5 years.Read More Read Less

After 9-10 months using my first inhaler, I told doctor, I thought it was time for pulmonary testing and change in treatment. After tests, he switched me to Striverdi Respimat and continuing Combivent Respimat twice a day or as required. My life changed for the better. I breathe easier, have more energy, can sleep lying down in a bed and no longer feel like I'm on my last legs.MY BEST ADVICE FOR COPD PATIENTS: Let your doctor know what's going on with your condition. Put it in writing or get help to put it in writing.Read More Read Less

If this review didn't scare you, that will.Read More Read Less
