There is way to much waste by providing a application instrument that is encased in glass and plastic. In addition, the actual needle prick often leaves a rash which I feel could be reduced if we were able to inject the medication using traditional means. Each time I use the application, I wonder "am I paying for the drug or all this glass/plastic???"

September 2023 loading dose- got Covid and Strep in October and had to go past 3 days before I got to take the regular 80mg injection. I want to believe that this medication will work for my Ankylosis Spondylitis but the side effect is not worth the extra pain it causes me. Sad thing is my Rheumatologist says it will get better ???????.

So I have had psoriasis for a long time now. It usually is moderate but after strep throat I broke out over 90 percent of my body and had it on my face and hands and absolutely everywhere. I have tried everything and anything and nothing has worked in the past. Absolutely nothing !!! I have taken my first loading dose two weeks ago and the next day I seen a big difference on my face and scalp. After a week my face and hands are totally clear and every thing is fading away now. I have never in my life seen a medicine work so fast and clear that much up in just two weeks. Strongly recommended Read More Read Less

Almost 2 years on Tlalyz with great success. Had tried Enbrel, Humira and Cimzia which worked well on my PsA but not my skin. After a bout with strep and a huge full body flare up. It was ugly and painful. I went to the dermatologist who recommended Taltz. Consulted my Rheumatologist the next week and we decided to try it. Rheum had never prescribed Taltz to her patients. In 3 months my skin was clearer and my PsA was controlled. In 6 months my skin had cleared up completely. I deal with some IBD and elevated liver numbers on Taltz but if I drink more water, less alcohol and exercise I can keep my numbers in check. What a relief it’s been for me and my skin and my health. The injections can be very painful but I’ve found injecting in my chubby stomach much less painful than my muscular thigh.Read More Read Less

I was on Taltz for 8 months for P and PA. At first it cleared my skin fairly quickly but when I hit the once a month dose my Psoraisis came roaring back. My plaques are much larger now than they've ever been and in places I never had P before. I am not a big fan of biologics anyway, too expensive and dangerous, and have read some patients have benefited more from probiotic therapy and a better diet. Overall I am very disappointed in Taltz and would not recommend it.

I have had acute plaque psoriasis for over 22 years and am finally taking care of it. Dermatologist did not mess around with Humira or Enbrel due to the severity and coverage (about 30% of skin area across 90% of all body areas). It has only been six days since my initial loading dose and already 95% of plaques have not returned after shedding; thicker areas may not have fully shed yet. Widespread urticaria resulted in less than three days but condition is only cosmetic with only VERY mild irritation. No swelling at either injection site. Dull pain at injection site diminished after 24 hours. Since Taltz is very new to the market (30 months on market), insurance initially denied coverage, then approved, only for pharmacy to den,y then approve; both insisted on attempting other biologics first. However, the results so far are undeniable. Psoriatic arthritic pain appears to be subsiding as well, though this is undocumented.Read More Read Less

I went to a recommended MD who specializes in dermatology- Dr. Kathleen Veglia. She was 30 miles away in Hazleton, Pa. but figured I would try her. Dr. Veglia was nothing short of amazing, and told it like it is.( I like doctors who don't beat around the bush.) She recommended trying Taltz, after making sure I was a good candidate. She stated the drug is amazing and said I would see "magic". I doubted her during my initial injection, which was given in her office. I noticed a change in one day! Yes...one day my scalp itching began to cease. A few days and the scaling, redness, and patches began to disappear. I am only in week three and my psoriatic condition is about 70% gone. The injector is painless and easy to use. I will be taking it once a month now. I have had no setbacks or reactions. No infections or adverse sensitivity whatsoever. I know it's only a few short weeks in, but Dr. Veglia was right. This medication worked magic in a few days, with no side effects. Sorry for doubting you Doctor Veglia!Read More Read Less
