I have only been using Trelegy for about a month but it has been life changing for me. I used to wake up every morning wheezing so bad that I had to have a breathing treatment immediately and also throughout the day after some activities such as grocery shopping and carrying all the groceries in the house. I used Trelegy immediately after picking up my prescription and have not had to use my nebul...
breathing was great for 4/5 weeks, then it was like everyday i was coming done with the flu (but never did) this has been going on for 4 weeks and i have been off the medicine for 2 weeks- still tired, lethargy every muscle and joint in body hurts- no fever

Trelegy was prescribed to me as a controller for moderate uncomplicated asthma. Initially it worked great. But as time passed, I just felt sick all the time. Inhaling it made me cough and/or vomit. I told the doctor about it but I just got told I was inhaling it wrong. Little did I know that is a side effect that means you should not take Trelegy. After nearly a year, I had steroid induced laryngitis so bad that I could not talk at all. I was having something like reflux almost every day. My throat was raw and painful. I was treated for thrush but it didn't work so I am pretty sure it is the medication itself. I was congested all the time, too. Finally I stopped taking it and within 2 1/2 week my voice was coming back and I was actually breathing better than when I was on it. And I have little to no congestion. It was over all a terrible experience, I felt like I was sicker while on it than off it.Read More Read Less

Used 11 days of a 14 day sample. Had flu-like symptoms for two weeks, had to stop the Trelegy. Tested negative for Covid. Now a month later still have the Thrush. I don't know how they can market a product that has flu and pneumonia as side effects.

I have been on Trelegy for a couple of weeks and other inhalers for 18 years, I was short of breath yesterday after I took a puff of Trelegy, dosage is one puff per day. I decided to forego todays puff so I havent used it for 24 hours and I breathe better today than I have for the past few years. Well guess what? I am going off all these inhalers I think these medications are like our government. ALL PHONY and I think that they eventually will kill you. I will let you know how I do without these expensive so called remedies.Read More Read Less

My pulmonary Doctor, who prescribed Symbicort retired. My new pulmonary Doctor wanted me to try Trelegy Ellipta instead. The 1st day I could breathe better than with Symbicort. However, the next day all my joints started to itch. I stopped taking Trelegy to make sure that is wasn't the cause of the joint swelling. I went to my return appt three days later. My Doctor gave me more Trelegy. I again experienced the itching joints but continued the Trelegy. The next days all my joints swelled up and itched and hurt, Then my finger joints swelled up. Finally each distal phalanx bent way over to the side as if my tendons had shrunk. By that time I was convinced that the Trelegy was causing all the swelling. I stopped the Trelegy and my joints returned to normal except my fingers remained skewed to the side. After a year of manually squeezing my fingers straight, they appear almost normal. I have asthma and copd. Used Advair without needing emergency inhaler much, maybe once or twice a week. I had covid twice. We also moved to IA. My tests showed a 4% decrease in my lung capacity. I tried Trelegy with a nebulizer and had to use my emergency inhaler frequently. I was coughing all the time which never happened on Advair. I am hoping that covid isn't the cause of my problem. I am back on Advair since two days ago but no improvement yet except my coughing stopped. I also have not exercised for obvious reasons. Read More Read Less

All breathing aids affect me the same; I get some relief for the first hour and 3 hours after taking them I’m as or more congested than I was before talking the med. At $472 it’s totally not worth it.

I had to stop Trelegy after two months because of side effects.
Initially it did wonders for my breathing, my peak expiratory flow improved significantly and FEV1 also improved. The side effects creeping in I initially blamed on other meds I was taking, the weather, stress - anything but the Trelegy as I so wanted it to work. I was experiencing extremely severe leg cramps, severe overwhelming fatigue, blurry vision, bad oral thrush, feeling severely dehydrated and chest tightness.
Most of these symptoms resolved within two to three days of stopping Trelegy. I did retry taking it again for two days and became almost bedridden.
I'm going back to an older (but proven for me) regimen of QVAR and albuterol with Combivent as needed. It's much less convenient but without the side effects of Trelegy. Read More Read Less

I have been on Trelegy for four months for stage 4 COPD. It seems to have a real positive effect on stopping exasperations or flare ups. Only side effect I have experienced is a little goop around my eyes in the morning. You definitely need to rinse out your mouth after using it, otherwise thrush condition will set in. This medication makes managing COPD a lot easier. Very easy to use the inhaler with the counter. The government should force the tobacco companies pay for this drug.

I had been talking Spiriva but not very effective. Trelegy has given me my life back. Recently I was on vacation with a lot of walking. Normally I would have needed a wheelchair or a lot of stops to catch my breath. Not needed . It’s wonderful. Thanks GSK

I've been diagnosed with uncontrolled Acute Asthma.. Dr. Prescribed Trelegy 200mcg... prior to taking this inhaler.. my lungs were always stuffy... my bronchial tubes were always inflamed ..hard to breathe..I've taken Trelegy for 2 mos. ...worked for about a month than my lungs started feeling tight and stuffy again.. My pulse rates always high.. as is my blood pressure... I've also developed a terrible headache in the front of my head..I've had for a week or 2 .possible Sinus issue.. Going to ENT MD to look inside my sinuses.. Why should I continue this med if it's not even helping?! And possibly causing fast pulse rate and high blood pressure with headaches?!Read More Read Less

This did work for my copd for a few hours but then I got shortness of breath and wheezing after about 6 to 8 hours. This is a once a day treatment I had to use nebulizer and emergency inhaler the rest of the day.

Discontinued due to thrush infection in throat . I also got a sinus infection. I had to take a prescription to get rid of the thrush. And then a steroid and antibiotics. This medication costs over $650 per month if you are on Medicare. This is very expensive and there's no assistance from the manufacturer if you are Medicare age. Very dissatisfied with product. I was still coughing and hoarse after two months.
