I am 49 y/o and have suffered w/ this problem for 30 yrs. Aciphex is the ONLY drug that has worked for me. Very expensive. My insurance co. has just raised my deductible, but there isn't anything close to this product. I love it and have suggested to friends to talk to thier doctor about getting them on Aciphex also.

Terrible name. I'm glad to hear it works for many, but I wish they found a better name then one that sounds like special effects for your rear. "A** F/X". Not the best. Everyone that watches this commercial that I know has noticed this, especially if it's on in the background and they hear the name. Oh well, as long as it works it can be called anything.

I have tried the other common PPI's and OTC acid reducers which all fail to help my severe, persistent reflux. Aciphex works within minutes of use and has never failed to control my symptoms for at least 20 hours. My only problem is that my RX provider at work sometimes removes it from the "approved" list and it is too expensive for me to buy with pocket change. They are covering it in 2012 so life is great.

For very many years I have suffered with acid reflux, and ulcers. Nothing ever helped until my Dr. prescribed Aciphex, from the very first tab I have been completly free from the worst acid reflux you can imangine. I.m very thankful, and wondered It wasn't prescribed for me many years ago; I have a new Dr. that prescribed the drug, thank goodness, now I can eat what I want. Thank you.

I woke up choking, burning like a hot fire in my throat, and the reflux going into my windpipe.I have tried every RX available and Aciphex is the ONLY one that works.I still have to watch what I eat closer to bedtime, but Aciphex is a God send for me.I wish it were cheaper.Insurance companies wake up,there's a reason there are many meds for reflux..one size does not fit all.I hear there's a generic that is not available in the U.S..why not? We need it.I remember when having 2/3 of people's stomach was common practice. It is a rarity to hear of it now.Great medicines.Thank God.Read More Read Less

It was great for about 2 months, but then it began working less and less. Because it only comes in 20mg, my doctor changed me to something a little stronger.

Aciphex has helped with my bleeding stomach ulcer - However, I do notice that when I sit outside in the sun my skin breaks out in an itchy red rash (red bubbles) all across my abdomen, shoulders, arms, and the bottom of my throat. Is this a minor or severe side effect of the medicine? Thank You.

I was presribed this medicine because of enlarged secondary tonsils behind tongue in your throat. I would feel like my throat was closing up. They did a scope and saw the tonils anyway, I took my first one last night before dinner and have felt wierd every since. Got so sleepy and my stomach felt sick, that I am afraid to take it this morning like I am suppose to but have to be able to drive. Anyone else experience this? It might be something else making me feel wierd. Any ideas or comments would be appreciated.Read More Read Less

First dose gave me relief in less than 2 hours. I did experience involuntary muscle movements in my arms, legs and abs, usually in my sleep. But can live with the side affects as long as it controls my GERD.
