Plenvu kit had 2 packets. The first was Mango (16 oz) which tasted like salt water mango but better than the gross tasting stuff from others. Drank another 16 oz at 5 and had cleanout start around 6:30 pm. Then 2nd packet(s) was Tropical fruit flavor salt water. Still very tolerable. I was very full after both. The 2nd packet I took at 3 am and basically had complete clean out by 4:30 am but still...

you get diarrhoea to the point where you are incontinently passing dirty water. In this condition I was supposed to travel 20 miles for a colonoscopy. I had to cancel after 3 days preparation. A total waste of money everyone's time and 3 days of my life. What do these people use for brains?

It was certainly the worst thing that I had to swallow in my life. The first dose with mango flavour was the worst, a lot of sugar, unpleasantly sweetened, here I found mango fruit was badly insulted by plenvu. Second dose was not as hard as dose one to finish draining down to the stomach. I pumped it the out at the end of first dose. Second dose without major trouble. Tips Mix it properly until fully dissolves in the water Dont forget to refrigerate it after mixing Dont let first part of tongue to feel the taste and send the message about the worst taste to brain Keep aside your favourite clear fluid that is allowed to drink to alternate Dnt forget to apply lotion on bumppy Stay positive, you may be are about to find the answer to the trouble you are experiencing in ur digestive system?? It’s effective, but why is it so sweet? It’s so horrible I thought I’d vomit more than once. Especially after a whole day without any food.

Prepare before hand: plastic sheet; pack of bed liners; twenty pairs of knickers or twenty pull-ups. Mop & bucket. That’s on top of the recommended baby wipes and vasoline and fluids & no fibre diet prep. The only sleep I got was an exhausted hour finally, just before the alarm went off for the second dose, upon which I woke to a bed flooded with runny shit. How will I get to the hospital without an accident? The last colonoscopy treatment prep was no way like this.

It tastes awful, sweet and salty but not impossible to drink. Why they oversweeten these drinks I will never know, why not leave the flavour of the basic product which would be no worse. It’s effective and just as unpleasant than other bowel preps I have taken, but there is no alternative so it has to be taken.

Plenvu had to b the worst prep I have ever experienced, I had a difficult time getting any of it down, especially the 2nd half . The prep didn’t work as well as others , even tho I had prepared ahead of time . I was very disappointed and will never take that prep again, it caused nausea so bad and the aftertaste stayed with me for days !!!

Had to take 2 separate doses of this in preparation for a colonoscopy at 8 am the next day. First dose was at 4pm, mango flavour powder that you mix with a pint of water, then drink slowly, ensuring it's all gone in an hour. As well as the mixture, you also have to drink an additional pint of water.. Tasted awful, very salty.. But did the trick. Was going to the loo an hour after my first sip.. The 2nd dose was in 2 sachets at 7pm..fruit punch flavour, quite easily the worst tasting out of the 2 flavours.. Again, mix with a pint of water, as well as drinking an additional pint of water.. I was then going to the toilet around every 4 or 5 minutes, all through the night, then it started to ease around 3am..at around 4 am I was passing clear liquid, this continued until 15 minutes before my colonoscopy.. They don't mind the liquid that comes from your body being clear, as they can still go ahead with the procedure, however, if you still have diarrhea they can't do it.. Your colon has to be clear... All in all, you are on the toilet a long time!! For me, it was over 15 hours... Read More Read Less

The second dose made me nauseous for hours followed by vomiting on several occasions. I will never use it again, it was an horrendous experience because of the disgusting taste which caused the vomiting.

Vommitted 11 times with this and first time I ever Vommitted blood, which was very alarming. Was horrible to drink, very sweet and sickening. I did drink it slowly and had drank water in between every mouthful of plenvu. I hadn't read the side effects prior to drinking it but when I read side effects they were alarming. I continued to drink it despite being suck since I needed bowel to empty. Bowels did empty but I suffered with this prep. Hope it can be improved.

- Works as well as other similar bowel preps. - Tastes as bad as them, even if the second dose tastes a bit more pleasantly. - Found it easier to finish compared to other similar bowel preps. - In my case, it didn't have an immediate effect, that I appreciated, other bowel preps start working right away and that's not always helpful. - To those who complain about its effectiveness, remember that's more down to you not having done a good job with the whole preparation. I stopped red meat and all whole food not 3 days before, as advised, but a week before. And also, you need to start decreasing the portion of food you're having 3 days before the procedure. If you keep eating a lot or a normal amount of food, obviously your colon will be fuller and more difficult to empty Read More Read Less

Plenvu offers a unique twist with its mango and fruit punch flavors, providing a more palatable experience. The affordability at $40, even without insurance coverage, makes it accessible. Following the directions led to a successful colon cleanse, ensuring a clean slate for the colonoscopy. However, the notable saltiness might be a drawback for some. Additionally, caution is needed, as the product induced severe dehydration despite increased fluid intake. Ultimately, the product delivered on its primary purpose, but users should be mindful of potential dehydration risks.Read More Read Less

PLENVU SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET SHELF ASAP!!! This stuff is terrible-to say the least! The moment this stuff hits your stomach, you feel the need to vomit. I spoke with a lady in the waiting room, the day of my Colonoscopy and she had the same terrible experience. The Anaethetist told me on this day, that he'd had patients complaining of the same thing. Patients are not able to finish their Prep because they are either, vomiting it all it, or just cannot get it down their gullet! I involuntarily threw up 8 times and couldn't. This makes you even weaker than you already are feeling, from the pre bowel elimination diet etc. and it leaves you extremely dehydrated (which is not recommended before any surgical procedure)...and it leaves you very, very faint and nauseated for hours leading up to your procedure. Because you are 'Nil by mouth' for 3 hours before your procedure, you have extreme thirst, because you've vomited so much- Urgh, not good at all. Now I've had a Colonoscopy and a Barium Enema before, using Movi-Prep and had absolutely NO issues at all with this product. It cleans your bowel excellently and NO vomiting ever, not even feeling like vomiting at all. Never again will I use PLENVU, I'll only ever use Moviprep. Would not recommend PLENVU?????????? Don't do it to yourself, you'll be worse off and you'll regret it. Read More Read Less

I dreaded using it but really not bad other than taste. Began working in 2 hours and still going two hours later. Stay near toilet. One more dose at 4:00a.m. & it’s over. Drink water all day prior to use and after. No cramps or side effects. I gulped it down but with a straw. That helps with the disgusting taste. Probably better to take 30-40 minutes though. Good luck.

Plenvu did not work properly for me. A waste of my time and my doctor's time. I followed instructions exactly, but my Gastroenterologist said that only 3/4 of the colon was clear enough to see. Very disappointing. 2 days of white refined food, 1 day of no eating and sitting on the toilet. Next time I would not eat anything for 48 hours before.

Much better than previous preps. Better clearing of bowels. Taste was rough but still better interms of volume of fluid intake.

Was like drinking very salty gatorade.. But that's quite do-able.. Drank it slowly over 1/2 hour each time. Drank 500ml water after each. No issues. Cleaned out.

It worked but that’s the only positive thing. Vile salty drink. Vomiting. Severe nausea, could barely eat for days. Could barely walk for days I was so weak. Trouble walking upstairs. I didn’t feel back to normal for about 1 & 1/2 months. Seriously, this is the sickest I’ve ever been in my life. I call it my near death experience and that is not an exaggeration, I should have went to the ER. This should be removed from the market, it’s dangerous.

So salty! Especially dose two, made me so thirsty, I couldn’t stop craving water! Both doses were slightly nauseating, but it passed each time. This stuff is effective at cleaning you out…and quickly! It was gross, but it always is, and this beats drinking a half gallon of gatorade with a huge jar of Miralax in it over the course of 4 hours. The thirstiness was the worst thing for me.

It worked! But not necessarily exactly as directed. If it helps, I'm a 5'4", 66kg fit female. The first dose was nasty but I kept it down. Nauseous all night, couldn't sleep. The SECOND DOSE THO!! THE most putrid concoction ever invented. Lots of talking to myself to get that 500ml down. Tried to tell myself maybe I could get away without drinking that last 150ml. Well, I drank it. All of it. In less than one minute, I was in the garden heaving all that splendid sweet salty shit up. All of it! I showered, brushed teeth, washed hair, washed every bit of me, and yet I can STILL smell that toxic solution in everything. Nurses laughed when they heard me tell a co-patient that even my nostrils smelled of it, my fingernails, everything!! Best news though, from my surgeon, was that my bowel was good and clean, (even after keeping only dose 1 down), and thankfully, actually, frightfully boring ??. (1 polyp only, no other nasties). I had an endoscopy at the same time. I will never enter into this agreement again, lol. Next time I will ask to use a different product. Whoever threw these ingredients together really should be working in chemical warfare! PLENVU scientists really don't like people that is obvious. Yes. It really is THAT AWFUL. But if you choose to go down this route, well, you've been warned by many here. So GOOD LUCK. Ps. Australia here and our price for this much fun is $25.Read More Read Less

This drink is beyond horrible . How a frail or elderly person could be expected to get this down them I don’t know . If Prescribers had to take it they would see the task is excruciating and nearly impossible to finish . I’ve had other preps and none are easy but this is just not fair to expect anyone to tolerate . It needs to be split in to more dilute content doses but I think my memory of today would not allow me even taste it . It’s like nothing I have ever or will ever take again . No way Read More Read Less
