This drug has changed my life. It is finally what I needed to cure my endometriosis. Thank you thank you!! I have no side effects, no weight gain, no breakthrough bleeding. My atrocious cramps are gone. I highly highly recommend this drug. In full disclosure I did 2 shots of Depo-provera and then switched to Slynd after I could not handle the side effects of the shot. It has been wonderful for me....

Make sure you read the side effects before you try this birth control. Unfortunately for me it mess me up bad starting from having bad mood swings that I was fighting with my husband everyday to having bad breakouts all month long every morning I will wake up with 3-5 pimples. It was a horrible experience for me my hormones were so unbalanced it made me feel so depressed and ugly. I’m so glad I ca...

Life changing. I used to suffer from the worst endometriosis pain. I wasnt able to work and was in constant pain. Literally the day after I started taking it the pain was reduced by like 90%. I did get some acne at first but that stopped after about a month. Wish this had been available years ago .

I was on a low estrogen pill for 20+ years. I had a baby at 39 and developed high blood pressure shortly after. I was put in BP meds. It worked great. The OBGYN no more low estrogen because of blood clots and high blood pressure. She put me on Slynd. It's been a horrible 8 months. Gaining wait, can't lose weight, horrible and I mean horrible back acne. Cystic, very large & painful... Dr Pimple Popper level zit. And I keep skipping periods. Or get it for 2 weeks. And when I miss a period I still have period symptoms. The OBGYN refuses to put me on my old pill but did change me. I started today. I pray it is better. Good luck to anyone on Slynd. I won't ever go on it again!Read More Read Less

I’m 45 I have 3 little fibroids and 1 little cyst so I bleed everyday even though it’s just spotting until it’s time for my cycle. My doc put me in birth control to stop bleeding so the first set of pills was horrible the first month was no bleeding then by the mid end of the second pack I started bleeding terrible all kind of side effects so then I started on slynd first pack no cycle then on the second pack I got to the green and my cycle started and I cramped but I didn’t bleed heavy lite slash a lite medium bleed but no bad at all. Most of the bleeding was gone by the fourth day but I kept spotting for days so eventually bleeding completely stopped but only for about a week then it started back so I’ve been spotting for over 3 weeks so this time I didn’t take the green pills and I didn’t cramp and I didn’t bleed heavy so it seems better to not take the green pills. I feel if I would have never took the green I wouldn’t have started bleeding to be in this bloody mess but today I’m starting my 3 pack so I’m taking the white and I’m hoping the bleeding will stop this week. But for me the only side affect I have now is early in the morning once im disturb my mind race a lot and makes it hard to sleep. In the beginning my eyes was sensitive to suns light and my head kind of bothered me it was uncomfortable. No other side effect no bloating barely cramp no sore breast no mood swings no heavy or break through bleeding no suicide thoughts or anything so to me inspite the little spotting these are way better than the norethindrone but I’m now scheduled for an iud if these don’t kick in before the week is over. I was on slynd for a year, I started it because I had already had negative affects with other progesterone only bc. The implant I had a different very negative experience from. I was consistently in horrible period pain and would always have 3 ovarian cyst on my left ovary. They would burst and I would just have fluid build up. Instead of figuring out the issue they put me on progesterone only again since I can’t take estrogen. The mid wife I had recommended it I only had mid wife because obgyn were all taken. In the process of birth control I spotted off and on for two months. Then completely no period and cramps bug then my moods had me tired all the time. I was very irritable and past a point mentally, I consistently had back to back yeast. Sex became painful and went from little to no sex drive and interests. Anxiety was high and I felt stuck. After ten months I had went from a D34 to a DDD40 before any bc I was c32 my size went from a medium/large to a 4x I gained back fat inner thigh fat and underarm most led to my stomach went from flat to swollen stressed split top and bottom and b shape and under neck fat. I was on no appetite and tried to avoid dairy and gluten and shaving or anything bc infections and weight and stress and mental health. My mid wife just told me I couldn’t gain weight on bc and that I just needed to eat better and workout more to which I was already doing. She then persisted to tell me maybe I need to experiment more with sex even though was a fresh 20 year old and had been through everything and sex was painful and exhausting. I ended up dropping the bc and her but it’s been three months and I no longer have yeasts I can finally have bit more of a emotion and balance it has its highs and lows with environment and mental health. I can eat a bit and I’m started to get bit of a sex drive again. Bug weight is still an issue it’s hard to lose and my breasts went from perky to sagging two different ways apart and sticking to stomach since going through and then dropping slynd. At least im functioning. Also I had a heart off rhythm and high blood pressure at one point but im not sure if it was related to bc. That’s my experience and im still hoping to lose neck fat and upper body. As well and let my booty pop again then blend in. And inner thighs to get toned I’m literally a pear shape and 5”11 and currently 21 but if anyone had same issues of a lot related please let me know Read More Read Less

So I started on slynd a few months ago to ease severe bleeding and cramps. This birth control has been nothing but terrible, causing constant nausea, numbness in limbs, bleeding, and chest pains.

This medication does take a couple of weeks to truly be the amazing pill that it is. I’ve been on it since early 2022 and it’s wonderful. No cramps, side effects, or period! Yep, no period. Again, it took a couple weeks to feel the effects. I spotted for about a week and a half when I first started, but then nothing. No period. I freaked out at first and took a pregnancy test just in case, but nope; not pregnant. I haven’t felt this great in years. I finished year one on it and am starting year two. Read More Read Less

Started Slynd about 6 months ago to stop heavy painful periods. It worked well, I had light periods for two months then they stopped completely because I skip the green pills. I have gained about 8 pounds, but I no longer have crippling painful heavy periods. I do think the weight gain is related to the prescription because I have not changed any diet or activity habits. Even with insurance the cost was high, then the dr directed me to the Slynd website for a coupon that makes it affordable. Read More Read Less

I was prescribed Slynd bc I have fibroids and heavy periods and this was suppose to help and even make my periods go away completely. since being on it I have not stopped bleeding going on 4 weeks. it's been heavy and tons of blood clots I can't take it anymore and will not continue taking them. . Emotionally I have been a mess, crying, depressed anxious. I would not recommend this pill. I wish I would have read these reviews prior. I will try the IUD and pray it makes a difference

Awful awful awful! Took for 7 days, within that time I got; headaches, constant nausea, vomiting, dizziness, depression, insomnia, horrible taste in mouth, sore gums, smell everything, needing to eat for the nausea, so weight gain. I had just got to my target weight before. So nope, stopped right away, obviously if you are low in progesterone then you won’t have that. I obviously have normal levels of progesterone. Disgusting pill ??

I gave it 3 months, I'm Coeliac. Worst constipation & bloating I have ever experienced I was hopeful it would work for my Endometriosis, I've decided to cease taking it. My first period on Slynda was horrific, flooding & blood clots. Everyone is different, I'm looking forward to feeling less bloated.....despite the fact I still have heavy periods

I can’t believe this drug is even approved. 11 days on it and I (otherwise healthy) developed extremely high blood pressure, racing and pounding elevated heart rate and went to urgent care. EKG showed changes so I was transported via ambulance to the ER to find not only was my Bp and hr high but I was having PVCs! Blood tests indicated a possible clot so I had to have a CT scan. No clots but now I had to see a cardiologist and wear a monitor. Next week I have to get an echo and ultrasound. Protect yourself and don’t take this. Read More Read Less

Horrible. Previously had Mirena (3 times), minor issues I didn't think outweighed the benefits. Have 3 children & wanted to try regular BC. Started w/ Northindrone because I wanted a progestin only...got off of that after 6 wks due to severe mood swings and no change in period..started Slynd. Mind you the goal is to get rid of PMS and heavy bleeding. Started about a week before period due..first few weeks had no real side effects...started period 1 day late (not taking the green tablets so shouldnt have had one at all)..period lasted 16 days....started another period 3 weeks after that..currently still on it. During the entirety of this(3. 24 packs) now), from about a week before the 16 day period I have been plagued w/ intrusive thoughts of harm, daily severe anxiety & panic attacks, constant mood swings/irritability/crying, no sex drive, extreme hunger (gained 3 lbs), cravings, general exhaustion, breast pain& bleeding. Going back to the Mirena on Thursday. Stay away from Slynd!Read More Read Less

I was really reluctant to try this for my PMDD and endometriosis but it's been much better than I anticipated. The first 10 days were rough: tired, aches, headache, constipation. It's been 2 months now and the longer side effects are that I need to drink a lot more water than I did before or I get dehydrated and constipated. It is harder to orgasm but not impossible, and I've also noticed a bit more hair shedding than usual. But I haven't had a bleed (despite taking the sugar pills) so no cramps, and my moods have been much MUCH better. Worth it so far not to have crippling mood swings. Read More Read Less

I only lasted 3 weeks with this pill. By day 3 I was constipated. Within a week and a half, I had a hemorrhoid, followed by a yeast infection. I was incredibly moody and didn’t sleep well also.

I am female in my 30s now, suffering with painful/heavy/irregular periods since I first got my period. As I got older I started to develop severe migraines, finally figuring out on my own they were hormonal. I stopped taking birth control pills when I was in my early 20s. I was recommended to try Slynd for my migraines as well as painful periods that would keep me in bed sometimes for 2 days. I have been on Slynd since November and it has completely stopped my period but no more painful periods, and also my migraines have been almost gone as well. I was also put on Elavil at night (25mg) and due to both these medications my migraines and painful periods are finally under control after suffering many years.Read More Read Less

Taking to treat adenomysis. Prior to this had bad cramps and extremely heavy periods and breakthrough such that I couldn’t plan for it. No side effects at all. I am 56, had 3 children and never had PMS. I am older to still have periods. This has basically stopped them all together- just super light spotting “period”

Worst side effects I’ve ever had. I have been taking Slynd for 8 months, and my body is in terrible shape. I have horrible breakouts of acne, which is super uncharacteristic since before the medicine I was known for having perfect skin. My mood swings and anger are off the charts. I’ve gained 10lbs, which on someone who is only 5’1” is a considerable amount. The worst part is my stomach and abdomen are always painfully bloated/distended. I have not been able to wear anything but leggings because even the slightest bit of pressure is extremely painful. I have also not bled at all since taking these pills which is absolutely unnatural… I still have period symptoms but no bleeding. I should have realized sooner that it was this BC, after reading many other reviews with women who have similar issues with it. Read More Read Less

I am a chaste unmarried childless woman taking SLYND for endometriosis- so far it has reduced my pains, reduced my bleeding, cramps and migraines barely happen and not as severe. No hair-loss, no acne, no facial hair growth. I was on the MINI-PILL for close to 2 years on and off prior to this pill and it was awful- 2 UTI infections, hair loss, acne, heavy bleeding and sometimes 2 periods a month. While I did have irregular spotting in the second month of SLYND- after 3 months of use my periods are mostly non-existent- you have to take it at the exact time every day, avoid alcohol&smoking/drugs because this medicine does raise potassium levels and does go through the liver- so you need to take extra care of your body&health while on it. But the benefits outweigh the side-effects- 1 surgery for endometriosis is enough- no more surgery, no more advil/mefenemic acid and other heavy anti-inflammatory drugs. My IBS symptoms are mostly non-existent as well- with magnesium and SLYND made more regular- no more loose stools during bleeding/spotting and very little to no bloating- experienced lot's of bloating on the MINI PILL. Weight gain has been 3 pounds- not big at all- and probably not related to SLYND- Christmas/winter I eat more. The pill does not cause blood clots, does not cause stroke and is not linked to breast cancer like the combo pills are and reduces your risk of uterine/ovarian/endometrial cancer as well. Whether you are sexually active or not if you have endometriosis I cannot emphasize please give SLYND a try before undergoing excision or ablation surgeries. Surgery just got rid of my large cyst- it did not help me with any of the pains nor migraines I was experiencing- that was all hormonal- as most women with endometriosis have elevated levels of estrogen and the biggest mistake women make is taking combo or estrogen pills for endometriosis/pcos/fibroids. Combo pill and estrogen make Endometriosis worse not better. While there is no cure- this is the second best thing to a cure and no it does not mask my symptoms- it actually has gotten rid of my symptoms and pains. I can exercise, I can go to work, I am not bound to hot water bottles anymore, I am not vomiting nor suffering from gastric issues either like I was prior. Please give it a chance- if it really does not work after 4 packs then stop- but you must go through the first 4 packs to experience the benefits and get your body accustomed to this medicine. I never used combo pills or estrogens- that I think is the problem- the women who used estrogen and combo pills probably experience the most problems compared to woman transitioning from using nothing or the mini pill to this. Also, even if you are religious do not be bound nor listen to your pastor or priest about taking this for health reasons- listen to your ob/gyn or family/nurse practitioner- SLYND does not/cannot cause abortions. I used this for about 4-5 months. BEFORE taking this, my period was 5 to 6 days once a month. Never had cramps, or acne issues. Period was a normal flow. AFTER taking this, my period became out of control. My period became heavy, then super light lasting 5 days, then became 2 days. I was happy because it was shorter and lighter. BUT after the second month, it started getting heavier and lasting longer, to about a week, then a week and a half. Now my period is about to be going on three weeks now! That’s insane! It won’t stop! I’ve never had this happen to me before!! Also while taking this, I have severe migraines lasting days, became uncoordinated, extreme acne, and my body started shutting down. Me and my doctors believed I was having severe neuro issues because of all my symptoms. All my test came back normal, bloodwork, CT, EMG, and we can’t figure out what’s going on. But to me, I figured, maybe it’s the birth control. As soon as I stopped taking it, it’s been two days. I’m starting to slowly feel like myself again. I don’t wanna be on a pill that’s going to make my period last all month, and become worse than what I’ve expected. Due to this medication, I have eye issues that are affecting my vision, and unexplained neuro issues. Im hoping i can fully return to normal. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone. After reading reviews and seeing that others experienced similar issues, I told myself that I’m stopping. Read More Read Less
