I am 30 years old and I was prescribed Tamiflu after being diagnosed with the flu. I felt better within a few hours of taking it. I was amazed. I was really sick and was worried that I may have to be hospitalized. I had been running a high fever and could hardly breathe. The only downside were the side effects. They were pretty bad. It left a terrible taste in my mouth and made everything I ate a...

My daughter was given tamiflu for early treatment of the flu. She took 3 doses and had to hospitalized due to her liver function test being almost triple the normal and she had a very depressed white blood cell count. the leaflet they give in the package does not say anything about these side affects but the Roche laboratories website for tamiflu has them listed adviseing that they did not find th...

I didn't know I had the flu for about 2 days. I finally went to the emergency room where I was prescribed Tamiflu. The effects at first were fine...but coming off of it towards the end had me agitated, nervous, and confused. I've had some violent feelings that I've never felt before and it was unusual for me. I really don't reccomend any type of pharmaceutical drug unless you really have to take it...it could save your life...if and when you do come off of these drugs be aware of the after affects leftover in your system; keep a journal of any unusual moods or illness that may come after, it could save your life!Read More Read Less

THis was perscribed for my 9 yr old son. It worked great his pediatrician had told us it tastes bad but, he takes a drink of juice after taking it. I also have him eat right after so he won't get sick. It has work great for him. His fever went up and then right down within minutes. the next morning he felt a lot better. aches and pains were gone and he was able to funcion instead of laying down all day. He did have to miss school but, it was because of hte flu and not the medication.

I was shocked when the pharmacy told me this medicine was $80.00! But, I should have gotten a flu shot...so...I guess this is my lesson. The medicine has worked pretty quickly. My body aches and fever went away within hours of the first dose. My sore throat and cough are still holding on strong after 3 deays on this medicine. But, it made it possible for me to go back to work after only 1.5 days off, so that was a high point. I'd recommend this medicine, but beware of the cost.

My 7 year old was given both unflavored, and then flavored, Tamiflu... he gagged and vomited it up as soon as he took it... I even tasted it - can't say that I blame him. Like others have said, it is expensive as well, and definitely not worth it, at least for a child in the liquid form.

This medication has helped cut down the severity of the flu for me. When I took it, it did make me a little sick to my stomach, however I just ate some crackers or something light and it went away. A common side effect of the pill does say it could make you vommit.

I had terrible flu symptoms before starting the drug. As far as i can tell it didn't really do all that much. four days later i am feeling a little better but tamiflu was way too expensive for the good it actually did. I woke up each morning feeling like i had swallowed a handfull of nails before going to bed as well.

I am on day 2 of taking Tamiflu and already notice a big change. I have no upset stomache but I have been eating before I take it. My body isn't as achy and my fever broke within hours of taking. Clearing up my chest, it dosen't feel like it is on fire whenever I cough.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS MEDICATION. We were given a prescription for our 9 year old daughter who had the flu. Within minutes of taking tamiflu, she would throw up. We quit after 4 attempts. This medication is a royal rip off. Doctors should be scolded for encouraging patients to take this junk medication.

This is a miracle drug for me. My body was very achey from the flu with a dry cough. In a matter of hours after taking this medication, I could actually hear my throat loosening and I was able to cough. Later I broke into a profuse sweat which releived the fever and relieved the aches and pain I was experiencing prior to taking Tamiflu. I am 61 years old and I did get the flu shot. I do not normally get sick but this year has gotten the best of me. I highly recommend Tamiflu for influenza symptons.Read More Read Less

My six-year-old was prescribed this medication. She never got sick from it, but it gave her mood swings and she had trouble sleeping. We finished all 5 days of the prescription, but she still missed 4 days of school. Not sure the exorbitant price of the drug is worth it.

After ever dosage I felt very sick to my stomach. Although I tried to eat food with the medication that did not help. My son is eight, he vomited every time he took the medication. I do not think the side effects are worth the treatment.

I've taken this two times now for what could have been a cold or the flu. The first time, the symptoms were very mild and disappeared after just one day! This time, the symptoms are much more severe, so we'll see. I'm already nauseous, so I suspect Tamiflu + the flu symptomps many make for unpleasantries. I HIGHLY recommend this as a preventative. If you have severe symptoms, it may or may not help you, and you may feel worse temporarily. It only slows down or stops the groth of the virus so that your body can do the rest. If you're in pretty bad shape, it still might take a long time to get over the flu. DEFINITELY talk to your doctor!!Read More Read Less

My 3yr old was prescribed this drug to curtail symptoms of the Flu. She began vommiting violently within 20 minutes. I thought it may have been due to her empty stomach. I gave her a second dose 12 hrs later, with food... same thing. This drug added to her misery! Paying $120.00 for 5 days and it making things worse...I feel miserable!!!

I am 16wks pregnant and my husband had caught the flu. I took this as a prevention because I started to get sick. This made a huge difference! He also took this and was better in less than 3-4 days. This works!

I'm on day 4 of Tamiflu. It makes me sick every time after I take it. It also causes horrible nightmares and trouble sleeping. To top it off my flu symptoms are still coming on as strong as they were the first day I had symptoms (when I was prescribed and started taking Tamiflu).

I have been very happy with this drug! My symptoms were greatly relieved within a day. If you want to avoid stomach upset, take it with food. ThTaking it with a bowl of oatmeal helped me tremendously.
