Vyepti has been my miracle medicine! For me, my pain is gone and I can be around my triggers. Having debilitating migraines my entire adulthood and now having my world opened up to not being in pain every day is so awesome. I've had 3 infusions of vyepti and am still learning how to do things I've always steered clear from. I went to Bed Bath

I went from having a migraine all the time to having a headache all the time and half as many migraines. When botox was added I started getting pain free days and the migraines were halfed again. On its own it would start to were off a month and a half in and I'd have an untreatable the last 2 weeks. The downside the infusion itself will trigger a really nasty migraine and my asthma to the point ...

Had my first infusion 5 days ago at noon time. Went home right after and slept the rest of the afternoon and been having daytime fatigue since. Hope this does not last 3 months. The pharmaceutical company does not list this as a side affect however this drug is distributed in the EU and this side affect is listed there. I may go back to Emgality and give up the fatigue for constipation.

I was provided the 100mg dose on 6/26 and 9/26. 10 days after each infusion my left collapsed. I keep reading the reviews of chest pain and I'm wondering if these patients reported to the hospital and/or reported these symptoms to the FDA or the drug manufacturer? I now have to have a Pleurodesis to prevent my lung from collapsing again. I'm told it's a very painful surgery and I have to be out of work for 3 weeks. Please report your symptoms!

Had my first infusion yesterday (100mg). I’m not sure what to put as far as the “star rating” goes but I needed to put something down. I had no side effects that they talk about. The only thing that’s happened to me is yesterday I had shortness of breath for about 8 hours. Nothing major. It was as if I climbed the stairs quickly. Today it’s minor shortness of breath and my heart is racing on and off. Other than that, no other side effects. I’m not sure this is the medication for me but I’ll continue to monitor what’s going on. Read More Read Less

I had my first Vyepti infusion at an infusion center a week ago. Very positive experience. No side effects and no migraines since then. I was told that it might take several infusions to see an improvement in my persistent migraines, but that some people see an improvement within days or weeks. I haven’t had a migraine since that first infusion. Amazing.

Had my first 100mg dose 3 days ago and still can’t move. I feel like I’m dying - extreme fatigue, extreme nausea and so dizzy I can’t drive. Got a migraine the next day. Itchy throat stuffed nose my lips and the inside of my mouth started getting puffy and my eyes were swollen the next morning.

I started on 100 mg and went to 300 rather quickly. Whether it was 100 or 300, it only worked for the first 6 weeks then the second six weeks were one long huge rebound headache that was almost impossible to get rid of. After a year and a half of being on it, my good weeks have been taken down to 3 weeks and the rest are rebound impact. It was also a pain to get. It seemed the doctor's office always had insurance issues or issues with the pharmacy. I decided not to continuously beg the doctor office for the medication and just let it wear off completely. It's not the "game changer" it was made out to be.Read More Read Less

Did nothing for my migraines I actually had less when I discontinued the medication. Waste of money paying for the injection process which was $300 which Insurance doesn’t pay for and the medication I had to fight for them to cover. Not worth it.

I went from having a migraine all the time to having a headache all the time and half as many migraines. When botox was added I started getting pain free days and the migraines were halfed again. On its own it would start to were off a month and a half in and I'd have an untreatable the last 2 weeks. The downside the infusion itself will trigger a really nasty migraine and my asthma to the point the inhaler won't work. It is just non stop coughing for hours needed strong meds to make it stop. The first week after my gut shuts down wholesale taking more meds to get it going. I had to get port put in because my veins started collapsing from the extra use on top of my normal blood draws and needed migraine coctail ever few months. All the pre treatments turn it into a 3+ hour infusion treatment. A year into this pre treating for the migraine, asthma, and constipation seems to bring down the side effects. Also running the infusion at half speed helps. All the pre treatments turn it into a 3+ hour infusion treatment. The side effects around the infusion are horrible but at this point worth it when used with the botox. I well likely switch to whatever the next every 3 month treatment it when it becomes available. On its own I'm not sure it would be worth the pain, it has worked better then any stand alone treatment I've tried in the last 20 yearRead More Read Less

This medication caused more side effects than actual help. I had stomach pain, no appetite, insomnia, anxiety and paranoia, sinus and cough issues and the headaches only got slightly milder during the middle four weeks, the rest of the time the headaches were as intense as ever.

I've had migraines for 10 yrs and have tried nurtec and every other thing out there with no relief. I just had my first vyepti infusion 2 weeks ago and I have not had a migraine yet. I did start to have a minor headache but it went away quickly. I also have fibromyalgia and it hasn't caused anything to worsen with it at all. So far it's been amazing.

Upon trying Vyepti I had increased migraine and fibromyalgia pain, unsteady on my feet, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, flushing, hot and cold, heaviness in my chest, just to name a few. It's been a week since the infusion and I'm still feeling the effects of this drug. If you have sensitivity to medications I don't recommend this or any other CGRP medication. It takes months to get out of your system.

Vyepti is a miracle migraine assassin. When I was 10, I experienced my first migraine. I did not begin menstruation until age 14, indicating my migraines were unrelated to hormonal causes. At age 30, I had a hysterectomy and went through menopause by age 33. Since then, my migraines have increased both in intensity and frequency, especially after age 40, validating the indication that my migraines were not related to hormonal fluctuations. I experienced migraines 5-6 days per week. My neurologist prescribed many different treatments, but none were successful for more than 3 months: Aimovig, Emgality, Botox, etc. Finally, Vyepti saved me from the migraines! It's been 2 years since I began the infusions. After 9 months, we increased my dose from 100 to 300 mg to ensure the medication lasted the full 90 days. It's been wonderful. I've recommended it to dozens of fellow migraine sufferers. Only two of those (roughly 30-40 people) did not experience similar relief. If migraines keep you from living, give Vyepti a try. If it doesn't work, what have you lost? Read More Read Less

I have tried many things over the 15 years that my migraines have gotten progressively worse. Very reactive to medications so it been a long road. This has finally cut my migraines down along with receiving botox every 3 months. Started at the 100 dose and was moved to the 300 recently. Was the first person to receive this at my clinic and biggest response was like I had a cold and this happens almost immediately each time. However, I have noticed that I am having anaphlactoid reactions to a lot of things that never bothered me before and hair loss. I researched and neither of these are mentioned in the side effects. Anyone else have this happen?Read More Read Less

I get my vyepti IV infusion at a very busy infusion clinic in Baton Rouge. What should be 30 minute treatment fb post IV observation can really be up to 4 hours. Still figuring out success rate. Just finished 3rd( every 3 months/) round. They were supposed to increase the dosage from 100 to 200 to improve symptoms. They messed it up and gave me 100. So. I will have to go back this week for the other 100.I am willing to try anything for migraine relief..

I started on the 100 mg dosageand after limited results increased to 300mg 90 days later. I went from 25-30 migraines a month to virtually none for about 4 months. After years of suffering I thought I had finally found my miracle medication. Sadly they started coming back about 100 days after my initial dosage and a few weeks later are back to a near daily occurrence with increased severity. My next infusion is later this month and will report back afterwards.

Within hours of infusion, I experienced hives & itching. By next am, nausea, stomach ache. The itching mostly subsided within the month. I’m having to continue zofran 1-2x/daily. I’m now in my 2nd month, with continuing stomach & GI issues. Addressing the migraine side of this experience, I haven’t experienced the severity of migraine in the 6 weeks since infusion. Without any doubt the worst experience of any drug I’ve taken in 35 years.

I've been taking Vyepti 100mL, every 3months, for 8 months and until this month, it's been amazing. I've been suffering with migraines since I was 15-16yo, now 50, oftentimes for weeks at a time. Vyepti has given me a life again. I was averaging 1-2 migraines a month now with this treatment until this month, going into my fourth infusion. I've reached out to my neurologist to see if this is something that would warrant an upping of dosage or if my body is getting used to the medication. I hope it's just a fluke. Read More Read Less

During the 30 minute infusion, started feeling very fatigued and dizzy. Staff did not know if this was normal, as I was the first to receive it there. Has increased migraines, not reduced kr prevented. Has made my migraines harder to abort, my normal abortive regimine does not work, and has already required a trip to the ER to abort it. Am also on Botox, but started this to cover the time period that Botox wears off. Have hemiplegic migraines, so there is a need to completely prevent if possible.Read More Read Less
