Drops counts really low. Have to have blood and platlet transfusions often which can have side effects alone. Was told it could take up to 4 months to start working. In the mean time it's a toll on your body. Don't understand why a onocolgist would not recommend taking vitamins with this drug. Way too many side effects. If im going to do a stem cell transplant that requires a week of extrem chemo ...

This drug created the Fungal Infection, constant fevers and makes you fill like you are dying. Almost died. Took 3 rounds and have stopped fill 100% improvement. Did bone biopsy the drug was working but not worth the toll it took on me. 4 weeks later and still on anti fungal meds. Better read all the side effects before taking this drug.

These reviews truly helped us make a decision to initiate or not. Note this is a 90yo patient. Waited 8 months before tried Inqovi, diagnosed in May. After diagnosis we read side effect profile and decided nutrition will be out medicine vs. INQOVI. Doctors said nothing herbal or nutrition would help build blood counts but that was not true. simply google. Patient would go about 3 weeks with no transfusion and he was intermediate on diagnosis spectrum. In the fall, transfusions became more frequent, every other week; platelets dropping but ok. In January gave Inqovi a try. Doctor emphasized can always quit. January, first round went ok. Just more tired, more naps; no other side effect. Second round day 3 - chills, weak, could not walk alone, temp. Went to ER and bam. Now we have liver issues, infection - which are par for course. But it has been all down hill since the end of February, now April. So, it rips your levels down. Obviously been off drug since ER admission but the force quit left patient with more harm than good. It just seemed to me that it elevated and irritated anything, comorbidity you had going on in your body. I advise to thoroughly read the package insert WITH your family and perhaps a somewhat knowledgeable medical person. Note the words 'toxicity.' INQOVI caused a lot of things too. Look at the trial section in the PI. And common sense - any drug you only take for 5 days then off 25, is probably going to surely disrupt the body, but it's chemo too, right? The question we asked ourself is, we know what we are dealing with by not taking INQOVI - I'm tired, have labs every week, transfusion here and there; but I am independent, still do things I like, go places, take more naps. On drug, your body may be totally taxed. Little independence, not enjoying life, can't get out of bed on your own, go to bathroom, and taking more naps. So think of consider patient age. I am guessing that effects are just as brutal in a younger person. Read the trials for age. I think my doc really pushed it. I am happy we started with nutrition vs. INQOVI on this journey. these drugs are more toxic than the darn disease you have - in my opinion. And do you really know outcomes? I think on drug mortality rate was lower than if you took the drug. I would not recommend for my relative if I had to do it over again.Read More Read Less

This drug is fairly new and seems like the ones taking it are a statistic for research.Read More Read Less

This review is for my father who was 79 when taking for myelodysplastic syndrome, and recently had heart valve replacement surgery, and was doing great energy was back and feeling good, then took inqovi, after two weeks in went to ER with fever, had a blood infection that he died from 2 weeks later. Found out later it's the #1 side effect!!!! Read side effects with family before taking, and have a serious conversation with family and doctor about the risks! I firmly believe my dad had another 10 years of life if he didnt take this medication.Read More Read Less

The side effects were too great to continue. My numbers bottom out in one week and my body feels totally shredded. This was after two months use.
