My Son is 10 and was diagnosed with severe ADHD when he was 7. We tried several different stimulant medications and found that Jornay PM caused the least side effects, but after being on it for almost two years and on the second-highest dosage, It became less effective and we notice more and more side effects. He was underweight, and when we stopped the Jornay in July, he's gained 11 pounds and is as healthy as we've ever seen him. But he's struggling very much in school and when he was quarantined two weeks ago we tried Qelbree while he was at home to monitor any side effects. On the first day on 100mg dose, he was extremely lethargic which is not like him at all. By mid-day, he was asleep for three hours. The next day he was in overdrive-euphorically silly, making strange noises, rolling on the ground, and belligerent. He even said that he didn't know why he couldn't stop laughing. Doing homework with him was almost impossible. Over the next five days, this behavior grew worse, and he had vivid nightmares every night. Finally for our family's sake, on day six we stopped the medication and the next day he was his normal self. I'll take my sweet boy with ADHD and not this monster that Qelbree turned him into. Please be careful giving your child this drug.Read More Read Less
