Tivdak has worked well for my cancer reducing tumors and reducing enlarged lymph nodes but the side effect of peripheral neuropathy has made it necessary to stop treatment. After a ten month break, my pelvic tumors have gotten much larger and I got numerous new enlarged lymph nodes. I have started Tivdak again but after only two infusions, the peripheral neuropathy has made one calf numb up to and starting to include the knee and the other calf starting to get numb. Fingertip neuropathy is getting more noticeable. You really have to figure out a way to eliminate this side effect or patients like me are going to die in a matter of months rather than being able to continue to remain stable for a long time. This medication did not do anything for my cancer. It has the most horrible side effects even worse than Carbon/taxol. It Messes up your eyes and you have a permanent sinus infection permanent coughing and all your your falls out even with cold capping. My last treat was a month ago oncologist had to stop treatment and it messed up my lungs with wheezing and dangerously high BPM. Get a genetic profile and try something different if available. I do not wish anyone to go through this much less in vain !! Read More Read Less

My mother received tivdak after having a bad reaction to immune therapy. She was previously told before the first treatment of tivdak that her cancer was slow moving and there would be a lot more options if tivdak didn’t work. She was the first in our area to receive tivdak given it jst was released from the FDA Unfortunately my mother recent passed away due to side effects of tivdak. I understand completely that medications effect everyone differently. My mother had every side effect of this treatment. Started with the numbness of her fingers and toes . Then her eyes started having a discharge and then starting not being able to see in stores. Her eyes would have broken blood vessels a day after the treatment even those ice packs were used and she faithfully used the eye drops as directed. After he scan it should new growth had developed. She started having difficulty breathing. She went to her PCP where she was turned away being the Chest X-ray showed nothing. She got a second opinion from the er. Tivdak had caused the lining of her lungs to thicken which in returned caused the right side of her heart to enlarge and not pump oxygen or blood. A day in the er she passed away from Cor Pulmonale Read More Read Less
