Very tolerable, much more tolerable than Restasis and Xydra. Follow the instructions exactly and it is easily tolerated. I have been using Tyrvaya for one week. I have some improvement and will use at least 3 months and reevaluate.

Have Sjogrens, very dry eyes, mouth. Used Restatis regularly for 10 years. I thought this was my answer. Have Arthritis in finger. It's very hard to spray for me. Getting slight nose bleed. By what others are saying they are spraying towards sinuses. Your suppose to spray in direction of top of ear in side of nose, this is not a sinus spray. I'm going to continue the sample and see if I get impro...

I have extremely dry eyes and MGD. I currently use Vital Tears and Xiidra, spending several thousand dollars a year to see. I wanted this to work so badly but it had the opposite effect for me. Relatively quickly I noticed it dried up my postnasal drip, that was great; however, my eyes actually were made worse. I could see okay before using it and within 2 hours was very blurry and probably should not have been driving. I used this for a week and finally had to stop. Luckily, I only paid $10 since I used the manufacturer discount card.Read More Read Less

The 1st spray after I primed the sprayer worked well. My dry eye problem was solved. When I tried to use it again it was impossible. I wasted more than I could use and it's a costly medicine. With all the spray bottles in the world why did this company create something that doesn't work. Not going to buy another bottle. Can't afford it. Very frustrating.

Been using for about 3 1/2 weeks and have seen a major improvement. My tears had separated and my tear ducts were having spasms and oozing the lipid layer of the tears. Since starting, I have not had an episode of spasms or abnormal tears. I need to do a better job of not spraying far up my nose, but it has been a huge improvement for me.

I think that Tyrvaya helps, but definitely doesn't stop severe dry eye. Instead of using the lubricant for dry eyes I night I can just use maybe one of two drops of Tear type drops during the night. It does seem to help during the day. As many others have mentioned the spray bottle stops working a lot. I will keep using it as long as my insurance helps to pay for the Rx. It needs improvement.

Tried Xiidra, Restasis, plugs, ointment at night, and nothing worked. Tyrvaya is fabulous and has been a game changer for me. However, a recent change in my my insurance has made it unaffordable. Price went from $89 a month to $660 using PhilRx. Anyone aware of any other discount pharmacies that might make this med affordable?

Seems to be working, however runs out or won’t spray a week or more before next prescription is received, so have to go back to eye drops. Spray bottle doesn’t work lot of times.

My eyes feel good after a few days use. Haven't felt so good since using a steroid drop which cant be used regularly due to eye pressure increase. Unfortunately, the pump works poorly when held at the proper angle as directed in the video. Hold it upright & it works fine and it irritates the nose. Haven't sneezed but burning sensation & runny nose. Why is this even sold as a nasal spray? According to manufacturer, drug needs to be applied to a nerve located in the lower nostril. Why not a topical ointment ? Frustrating!!Read More Read Less

I had very high hopes for trevaya and let me tell you what I've never put anything in my body that burnt like this nobody should have to go through this and nobody should have to feel this pain and sneeze this way and I did it exactly the way they said that I didn't spray it directly in my nostrils I did on the side of my nose This stuff was horrible and talking about nauseous I am glad that I'm just using the samples because one spray was all it took for me.

My best guess of people who are complaining of constant sneezing are not using this appropriately. I think people think it's a nasal inhalant and goes directly inside the nose. It is only meant to be sprayed in the very lower portion of your nose, spray to the side into the nasal fold. Then this area should be rubbed for it to be absorbed. I sneeze a couple of times after that but those people who are saying they're sneezing 20 minutes it sounds like it's going up into the nasal cavity and that's the incorrect way to use it. The medication does come with directions and there is a website that you can actually go watch a video on the correct way to use this. I'm glad I did because I probably would have not used it appropriatelyRead More Read Less

I have been treated for dry eyes for about 13 years: first w/ Restasis, then when that no longer worked, Xiidra for about 5 years. Restasis worked fairly well at first, but sensitized my eyes dramatically such that I really had to be careful with what I applied near my eyes because once triggered they’d burn and tear for hours. Xiidra worked, however, always burned when applied and additionally produced a crust over my eyes that seeped into the corners of my eyes and lashes: my eyes were always red- never mind all the greasy goop splashes I had to clean from my glasses: on the eye facing side. My OD gave me a sample of Tyrvaya and enrolled me into the manufacturer program dispensed by PhilRx: where my first month cost $10 and monthly cost is $89. Tyrvaya not on the formulary for my insurance, so I really appreciate this pathway to obtain med: because it works wonderfully for me. Yes, the initial doses produced a frenzy of sneezing, which actually made me laugh pretty hard. I prefer sneezing/laughing to eye crusties, eye goo on glasses, and burning from eye drops. Yes, I do think there is room for improvement with the nasal sprayer- it feels as though the doses are not evenly dispensed-but I’ve learned to trust that the med was indeed dispensed and to not re dose myself (re dosing is a bit what I’d imagine snorting pepper spray would feel like). Each spray bottle contains 60 applications: or 15 days of med, and you receive 2 bottles in each PhilRx shipment. Incidentally, after my sample ran out while I waited for response from my insurance I had to return to Xiidra for a week, and I could tell that my eyes felt better and produced more tears- instead of the abrupt need for Xiidra when the AM dose wore off and my PM dose was due. I really enjoy the fact that the benefits of the med seem to last past when next dose is due. With HSA plan my out of pocket for Xiidra w manufacturer coupon was $270/month. I’ll remain on Tyrvaya for as long as I am able- without the PhilRx option Tyrvaya would cost me $600/month. Much as I appreciate the therapy, that’s not something I can afford. I am grateful for this medication and being able to afford it: it’s amazing to wake up in the morning and not experience foreign body sensation in my eyes (dry eyes make me feel like I have sand or hair in my eyes), they feel “normal”, it’s been a long time since they’ve felt that way. I have Sjogren's and was looking for help with dry eyes. But after 1 month had to stop Tyrvaya because it caused severe headaches and increased sensitivity to sunlight with my eyes.

The Tyrvaya has helped with my dry eye. the delivery system, the spray bottle, has malfunctioned consistently, working as promised only about half the time. This mens you have to prime it more often and get less than the 15 days promised.

I have glaucoma and since using Tyrvaya my eye pressure increased after one month and my eyes are sore and bright red. Using correctly was a problem for me, medication spray bottle did not always work. I once sprayed in my eyes when priming, and once sprayed twice because pump was stuck. Last, my sinus rebelled and I was ordered to stop Tyrvaya. I am now waiting to have serum drops made after exhausting all other means and drinking water every hour hoping this helps hydration. I have enough meds to open a store and should have said no to this one.Read More Read Less

I recently was diagnosed with Sjögren’s and before diagnosis I had red painful eyes for months! It was horrific! I finally got the diagnosis and had dry eye test and was prescribed Xiidra. I tried to give it time to work, but after two months I felt like my eyesight was literally going away. It burned. My eyes were redder! On a last whim I agreed to see an optometrist my husband found. She said to try this nasal spray. I work in a hospital and had a Walgreens down the hall…so when it was ready o brought it to my desk and reluctantly squirted one in each nostril. It burned a little, but nothing worse than my eye agony. I swear, after about two hours I realized I was grasping for my pack of eye drops I carry with me! I asked my coworkers if my eyes look better…and they couldn’t believe it! I looked in the mirror and they were white! They felt like they used to before this new horrible world happened with dry eyes/Sjögren’s. I’ve only had a few doses, but I’ve literally cried tears of gratitude and hope after this medicine. My name is Julia. I’m 39 years old. I have 2 boys. And I have hope now. I hope this stuff works for you!!! My only request is to make it affordable. With insurance I had to pay $100. I almost told Walgreens I didn’t want it, but I didn’t. I need it. BUT I don’t know how I’m going to factor an extra $100 a month into my budget. All that aside. It works.Read More Read Less
