I have my 4 shots of Vaccines, 3 Modernas and one Pfizer, with the last one being merely a month ago. I began feeling some cold symptoms last Wednesday but the home test kit showed a negative for Covid. Thursday felt worse, with more intense headache and fever. I tested again and got positive. Both Wed and Thu nights, my throat felt itchy and I did not sleep well. Friday morning saw a family do...

Kidney transplant recipient. Experienced body aches, low fever, mild/non-productive cough, and fatigue. Prescribed Paxlovid on testing positive for COVID-19. The morning after the first dose I experience the metallic taste but body aches seemed better. The taste caused loss of appetite and I was nauseated. By the second dose, I began vomiting. I could not hold down anything. I stopped after day t...

What a game changer. I had the original Covid in 2020. No treatment available at that time other than antibiotics for bronchitis and Tylenol. Dr diagnosed within day 2, had sinus infection and achy joints. Reduction in overnight inflammation was immediate. Regimen combined zithromycin and steroids. Day 3 and I’m 100% better. I had some diarrhea first day and yes the medicine does leave a slight metallic taste after taking it. But, less than when I went through chemotherapy. In my view a minor inconvenience when compared to the alternative. Read More Read Less

I am an older female who has been fully vaccinated and have had all the boosters. I am in remission from breast cancer and take an oral prevented medication. We were unaware that my husband had Covid and I was exposed. Three days after he tested positive my symptoms began and my lab test came back positive. I was immediately given Paxlovid. My only experience was an upset stomach and some mild cramping. I felt better by the third day. On day five my severe headache was gone. Unfortunately, covid attacked my sinuses and I was given antibiotics for that. Covid made me very sick. I feel very fortunate that this medication was available and that I was able to take it.Read More Read Less

The medication helped with my symptoms but I did have mode body aches than I anticipated and a headache that lasted a couple days. Overall, i feel it really helped me get better faster.

Very bad sinus headache on day 3 of the treatment. Nobody seems to know if I should continue the Paxlovid. Initial symptoms were mild.

I was on day 3 of Covid and asked by physician about Paxlovid. He prescribed the medicine to me. Within 20 minutes of taking the first series of pills the horrible metallic taste was in my mouth. This medication has made me very nauseous and my symptoms appear to be getting worse. I stopped this medication after day 1

Doctor proscribed my daughter (14 years old ) PAXLOVID for testing positive for covid-19. Her doctor said it was a new medication to help speed up the recovery and she qualified for the medication because she had trouble recovering back in May 2023 .When picking up the medication from the pharmacy I asked if I needed to watch for any side effects. The pharmacist said the only thing to worry about was a metallic taste . So my daughter took her first nightly dose around 8pm that night. Let me mention, yes she was positive for covid , but no serious symptoms outside of, no taste, smell, and a sore throat. Around 10 o’clock , 2 hrs after her first dose she said she felt worse. 10:30 she was throwing up. ALOT. This went on for about 20- 40 minutes. Back and forth to the toilet throwing up. Then started the diarrhea and vomiting at the same time. 11:00 pm she was ghost white, black circles around her eyes. No life in her at all. She just wanted to sleep. Looking up the medication online for answers I learned how dangerous this medication can be. I took her to the nearest emergency room . The doctor said it was symptoms from covid but there absolutely no way… The proscribing Doctor, pharmacist, even the ER doctor had no information on this medication. I learned more online than I did from the people standing in-front of me and only after I made the mistake of trusting my healthcare provider with my daughters life. Please think twice before taking this it was not worth all the risks they don’t warn you about. Read More Read Less

After 3 years...covid found me. I waited to see how this was going to go...before I started paxlovid. On day 3 of covid...my situation was heading south. I got a prescription and started the 5 day treatment. This is now day 3 of paxlovid treatment. I have learned: 1. this stuff makes a difference, and results are quick 2. you will probably get diarrhea and metallic mouth 3. the metallic mouth is minor and aided by taking a zinc tablet supplement 4. your issue with #2 is not going to be fun...but you are not going anywhere/anywayRead More Read Less

Have 3 autoimmune conditions. Got covid for the second time. NP gave Paxlovid after 3 days of symptoms. I feel my body is reacting worse to the medicine than the covid. Have to drink tons of water with this medicine. Diarrhea, throat closing sensations. I can’t wait until the days to take this med is over

This medication made me 10 times sicker than I was before I started taking it. After one 1 day I began having explosive diarreah, but day two, the effectts of paxlovid were worse than than the prep medication I took for a colonoscopy. I had to stop on day three when I began passing blood clots and had extreme GI pain. It also increased what they call 'myalgia' which means joint and muscle pain. The doctor who gave it to me warned me of a bad taste in the mouth, that was all he said.....nothing about the more serious problems it causes. I do not recommend this to anyone.Read More Read Less

Got Paxlovid Wednesday evening and started the first dose. Thursday morning my fever was gone and I felt surprisingly good. However the taste was something I'd rather forget about took third dose Thursday evening and my stomach was churning Friday morning took a dose and immediately began vomiting, couldn't keep anything down and continued to vomit whenever I ate. By Friday evening I was dizzy and somewhat disoriented. Friday night went to bed but couldn't sleep, the insomnia keept me up also my legs was like I had Restless Leg Syndrome everytime I began to relax my left leg would involvingly twitch. I had to stay up until well after 2am before collapsing in bed from exhaustion. But not before I realized I was not only dizzy but I felt like I might passout. I took my blood pressure after remembering what the Pharmacist told, that was "Paxlovid raised your blood levels" I'm normally in the 110 over 65 really good BP. My BP was 175 over 102, this explained a lot as to my dizziness and issues of disorientation, confusion, mental lethargy. I came to the conclusion that Paxlovid was some type of poison. Could be because of my Diabetes and other medication (oral meds) I take. I'm a Cancer Suvivor of AML and have High/Lethal dose Chemo (Red Devil Chemo and Paxlovid is up there with it. This medication should have never been put on the market, and Pfizer should take this poison off the market or face a product liability class action lawsuit. I wouldn't give this to my worst enemy. Stopped taking on day 3.Read More Read Less

Knocked the majority of my symptoms out within 24 hours. Metal taste sucks, but after being sick for 5 days and no improvement, I figured why not. Worked very well for me. I had covid two weeks earlier and took a covid test prior to this and was negative. Seemed I had to flue or some other illness. So for the common cold this seemed very effective.

Making an ill person terribly ill. I would recommend and violently extended my Covid recovery by week or so. Must be what it’s like to take chemo.

I'm 40, a woman with an autoimmune condition taking immunosuppressants. Started taking this on the first day I experienced covid symptoms and got a positive test. Symptoms have stayed consistent throughout the course of treatment, no better or worse on day 5 of taking it. I've had the following side effects that have made this medication very uncomfortable to take: metallic taste in mouth and yeast infection. Pretty sure these side effects have made taking this medication worse than not taking it, but who knows? Read More Read Less

I had a similar experience as the other negative reviews. My main Covid symptom was a fever but by day 2 I was starting to feel better and fever was abating. But then I took Paxlovid. First dose just gave me a headache and bad taste in mouth. But second dose made me extremely ill. My gums inflamed, eye pressure awful, overall felt horrible and fever returned. Way worse than having not taken it. Cannot continue on it.

I am a 69-year-old male with all covid shots. I had Covid last January and recovered just fine. I got it again this January 2024 and decided to take Paxlovid. The metallic taste in horrible and I am not sure if it helped or not as compared to last year without it.
