My kids use this for sinus infections. It's a pain to take because it is so upsetting to the stomach-diarrhea and naseousness/vomiting. One doctor recommended to take the med with 1/2 banana and this seems to help to alleviate the tinny taste it leaves behind & the naseousness. Also, my daughter has gotten yeast infections taking this so she eats a yogurt daily while on this. The yogurt must have 'Active Cultures' to be helpful. If you take this med 2x's/day, make sure to take it evenly spaced out (ie: 6am and 6pm).Read More Read Less

this drug is kind of hard on the stomach and can cause the runs. However, I have learned to always use yogurt everyday when taking any kind of antibiotic. So, my experience with this drug has been good so far. I have been on it for seven days and I have three days to go. The infection seems to be gone. So, my advise is remember to take yogurt when you start any antibiotic.

This medication gave my 11 month old a servere diaper rash.

My 3 year old has taken this med for 3 weeks to try and get better, now 4 days later after completion she has had nausea for the 3 of 4 days. She has had sinusitis since October.

My 15 month old was prescribed this for ear infections. It has helped the ear infections, but he will hardly eat anything now and has had such bad diarrhea that he now has a horrible diaper rash that is proving difficult to clear up. He is about half way through the med. I just read that yogurt may help, so I am going to try that tomorrow and hopefully the diarrhea will clear up some and allow his diaper rash to clear up. I hate seeing him sick!

I had a severe thoat infection, and the medication helped. It took the pain away and the throat is much better. But I suddenly got a yeast infection a serious burning sensation. Had to stop medication.

I have been taking this medication for only three days, and I have had extreme diahrrea! I think it is to strong for my body. I do eat before taking medication. My symptoms are still the same, lot's of coughing and now weken by diahrrea. Will call doctor.

I'm taking this medication after having my tooth removed and having an infection. I just started taking it and I feel a little better. It has helped with the pain.

I was sick the entire time of my taking the drug and was constantly drained of energy and felt no effectiveness. Also it seems to come back right after completing the course. I don't know if I missed dieknoweds because I've had this for 6-7 years and have not gotten well for 3 of it at all. The first few years the anybiotics and steriods seemed to get rid of it for the season until november again.

insomnia

Prescribed for 10 days after release from hosp. after 3 days of intravenous drug treatment for serious dog bite wound. Wound was on thumb and red streaks were going up arm. I have autoimmune disorder. This drug is GREAT, tske as advised, right on time, and eat lots of yogurt with active cultures to avoid stomachache, diarreha, or yeast infections. If redness persists, another course may be prescribed.

My 4yr old is taking this medication and so far so good. I've had no complaints from him. I have not seen him get any side effects from this medication yet. This is probably the 3rd day taking the medication and it's really working. The swelling on his face went down and it looks like it's healing rather quickly.

I had acatually got a rash from my dog that I have had for 10 years. Being a diabetic of course I was concerned and the Dr. I have made an excellent choice. The pain started like I would describe as a cramp in my leg. Then it began to turn red and swell. The Dr. perscribed the medication and in one day the soreness was gone and in three days the rash was completely gone!

After using other antibiotics, this one worked. Was treating sinus infection and ear infections. Did tend to irritate my stomach if I did not take with food. Dr. stressed eat yogurt so no yeast infection would occur because it is strong, so I usually took it with that. However, I am finally better!!!

The medication worked for me but after taking 4 doses I developed an allergic reaction (hives and itching) and had to discontinue.

Although the pill is huge, it is easy for me to swallow. I have had Bronchitis and a sinus infection for 5 days and I started taking this yesterday. I am feeling much better so far. No real side effects yet.

my 14 year old has been on it since friday. she has some kind of bacterial infections but the doctors are still running tests. the improvement in her is noticable. she is up and around now ue to the medicine.

My 4 yr old has his third infection in six weeks, two strep and one ear infection. This has worked after 2 days, he has no pain. However he hates the taste. I have to make him take it. Hopefully we wont have any more strep or ear infections after this.

I found it mostly ineffective, the hot soaks cleared it up after the drug slowed the infection down
