Worked as expected for a trip to India. Was a small amount of abdominal discomfort during use, but manageable.

Severe side effects, was a horrible experience to take this medication.

I've used this twice in areas with resistant malaria strains = S.E. Asia and N.E.-S. Africa [Kruger NP]. It works reliably, but also causes low level psychological effects after 7-10 days = having strange dreams that wake you up, and less restful sleep. Have used it while shallow water SCUBA diving without experiencing its potential anxiety effects. Sleep patterns return to normal within 24-48 hours after end of use.

Took medication for travel to West Africa. May have made me more tired (jet lag could also have been a factor though). I didn't get malaria but I also did not get bitten by mosquitoes.

It did reduce my appetite, but I will never complain about that. I ate when food was in front of me. I never experienced any abdominal pain or discomfort. I did have some gas, but that could have been due to the exotic fare in South Africa and Madagascar and not the meds.
