Saved. My. Life! I was in wheelchair extreme muscle pain, couldn't lift my arms to feed myself or wash my hair, had memory loss and dementia, body tremors, seizure like migraines, muscle paralysis, and speech problems. I started ivig for 2 days every other week. It took several months but I steadily saw improvement. The treatments give me flu like symptoms for about a week.(nausea, headache, fatig...

I receive ivig once a week to treat Dermatomyositis. It has helped my strength and fatigue. My skin is not as red or itchy. The major benefit is I no longer suffer from daily severe IBS. I have had a few headaches but not migraines. Sometimes I feel a little drained the next day but all in all no major side effects. I just had a port put in last week since I will most likely be doing this for the rest of my life. It's well worth it!

I sleep through the whole thing. Wipes me out for a couple days. Works great to keep infections away, but takes a few treatments to work well. It will take up your whole day and maybe even two days. But not awful side effects. Headaches, achy, sleepy, fatigue. But can prevent an early death. So... Get it!

I am currently in the hospital right on my fifth treatment. Before my hemo doc would give my 400 ml a day for 5 days. my platelets would go up when i was done then when i tapered off steroids they would drop again. the side effects were muscle and joint pain..insomnia..and nausea. I have severe ITP. i just got a new hemo doc and he just put me on 2 days at 1,600 ml a day to prep to remove my spleen..my paltelets were at 4 when i started. i'm going nuts. Freacking out. Hurts to move. shaking. emotional. Insomnia. But the treatment does work. it's so hard at this dosage.Read More Read Less

I started ivig for 2 days every other week. It took several months but I steadily saw improvement. The treatments give me flu like symptoms for about a week.(nausea, headache, fatigue, achy, just all around yucky) Now I walk without assistance and my memory is so much clearer and I can take care of myself. I've started getting treatments every 4 weeks now. (Diagnosis: Hashimotos Encephalopathy, a rare autoimmune brain disease) I'm thankful for ivig and the other meds and my wonderful neurologist!Read More Read Less

I took the medication by IV. The first day I felt a bit nausous. The second day I became very sick and vomited for 24 hours. The 3rd day I did not get the treatment due to vomiting. the fourth day I did well with premeds. the 5th day was good also. i took this medication to increase my wbc and platelets and it is working. It has also helped my rbc stay up.

This medication helped my daughter speed through the course of her disease. With out it the disease may have had longer lasting effect and maybe a more serious one. I am greatful for this medication. The hardest part was watching her get an IV put in. She was only 5.

Treated MS relapse. Could not take more 200ml at time. Legs became extremely painful to the extent walking was unbearable. Provided insignifcant response to symptoms.
