Lessina is the best pill I've been on. Since I started taking it almost 2 years ago, my periods have been significantly lighter and shorter, as well as less painful. No weight or mood side effects either. I'd strongly recommend this over Yaz or Ortho.

I have definitely noticed weight gain right away. Also, I have noticed some swelling in my legs. I have also found a change in my mood.

I have used this for a month. No weight gain, no nausea, I have an increased sex drive. But I broke out in acne this last week (Week 3 of the first pack) Hopefully my body will adjust to the pill and my acne will subside.

I too have been experiencing severe moods swings and irritability. Begins usually one week before my period. I am emotional and sensitive to begin with but this last year has been over-the-top. It just came to me that it may be my birth control pill, and after reading the rest of the reviews I will be switching immediately!

The first month my boyfriend called me moody ( If I actually was or if he was just making me mad and blaming on my birth control is unknown) After the first month there was no other side effects and I am now completely happy with this pill.

Since taking this contraceptive, I have become wildly depressed up to a week before getting my period. I am completely unsatisfied with this pill and am switching immediately. My mood swings are out of control and often I am so depressed I can't go on with daily activity.

I have been on this pill for about 7 months now. When I first started it I did notice some mood swings. I do still get some cramps but not as bad as they used to be. My periods have actually shortened by two days since I been it . I used to be 95 pounds before I started taking the pill and now I am 117 (not complaining at all, I needed to gain some weight). Overall I'm happy with the pill it works great for me and it doesn't make me bleed for long periods of time which I was afraid might happen but it didn't.Read More Read Less

At first, I had no problems with this birth control pill. I've been on it before and the only thing it did was make my periods longer. This is my second time being on it and things have gotten worse. It's caused my period to be very irregular and very heavy with a LOT of blood clots. It's also causing severe itching that woke me up at night and kept me from getting sleep. I thought it was a yeast infection until it didn't go away with yeast infection treatments. I did not experience any weight gain or nausea, and its effectiveness was never questioned. However, I do not recommend this pill. Read More Read Less

This is the second bcp I've taken the first was a mess, had my period for two months straight. I would almost rather that, with this pill I'm soo moody all the time, i have cramps that feel like contractions almost every day and i get the worst migraines. Plus the bleeding is HEAVY for a full week. i go through almost a whole box of tampons and pads for one period.

I have been taking Lessina, which I was informed was the generic brand of my original prescription for Sronex, for less than a month & I hate it. I have been bleeding for 9days and still counting. I have never had a menstrual cycle longer than 4 days tops since I first got my period when I was 12 and I am now 21. I have experienced many of the side effects as well including mood swing, back & chest pains, weakness, fatigue, blood clots. When taking the name bran Sronex I was completely fine and they worked perfectly with helping with menstrual pain and helping regulate my cycle. However I would not recommend Lessina to anyone.!! Personally speaking it's horrible. I'm getting off of it asap and I'm going to my doctor as soon as possible.!! Read More Read Less

This is the first time that I have been on BC, and it is primarily for painful and very heavy periods. I was having my change my tampon hourly and would be in tears for 2-3 nights because of the cramps. Now, my periods are about 4 days long and I have about one day of minimal cramps. I have noticed a change in my cup size, and bloating so that my pants don't fit. Overall I'm very happy with it.

I've been taking this pill for about 3-4 years. I am 44 now. I think this is just me but the third week of the pills I have been having mood swings. It doesn't surprise me as I have had far worse mood swimgs on other pills. This one was at least acceptable. Now however, primenopause may be setting in. Is there anyone out there taking this at age 40 something and up with problems? This last month I have been very depressed, sad and a bit angry. The saddness was the worst. Thinking of trying a new pill. Prior to this I would say the pill has been very effective. No break through bleeding. Regular periods, very predictable.Read More Read Less

I was happily on Aviane for 2 or 3 years, and switched mindlessly when my pharmacist asked if I wanted to try it for some reason (they weren't stocking Avaine anymore? They changed names?). Either way I wish I had said no, these past 3 months on this pill have been miserable. I start having PMS symptoms a week after my period. I bloat up so much that I can't button my pants, I am violent and suicidal, and my face, which has never broken out even in my teens, is a mess. I don't feel like myself, my relationship with my boyfriend has been on the rocks because the 'me' he used to date was optimistic and upbeat, not angry and short-tempered. Besides that, I'm assuming the contraceptive side is working fine. I know that hormonal birth controls mix differently with different women, but quite a few reviews online have mentioned mood problems too. Read More Read Less

It makes my stomach hurt for about an hour or so after I take it and if I am barely off time, taking it, it makes me bleed for days. Other than that, It's great!

This is my first birth time taking birth control. This birth control is doing okay for me. I did gain some weight but not by much, my boobs are bit bigger, i did however realize when i take my pill in the morning and don't eat breakfast after it i feel crapping a few hours later. I have experience fatigue, small headaches, and change in sex drive. Dizziness the first 2 weeks of taking this pill.. but they were all effects that I couldn't handle.

I've been on Lessina for a little over a year to correct my non stop, year round, just painful period. When I first started Lessina I gained 20 pounds but I lost 30 pounds after 4 months. With taking Lessina have problems with nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, moodiness and dizziness through out the day not just after I take the pill. Another side effect I have that they don't list is sensitive smell almost like a pregnant woman would have which enhances the nausea and vomiting. I also have breast tenderness and sometimes vaginal itch. It doesn't always happen all at once or everyday and happens more the week before my period. If I mess up taking the pills (missing a pill and having to double it up) causes me to get really sick as if I started Lessina for the first time. My periods leveled out and are now shorter. Lessina didn't do anything for break outs but didn't cause me any. Read More Read Less

I've been on for almost 2wks and my only complaint was the intense headaches I received dad after day. But after that there are no complaints.
