My 3 yr. old little girl was put on this and in the middle of treatment her feet swelled some, she was itching like crazy and broke out in hives everywhere. I had to take her to the E.R and get a steriod shot because it was so bad and the benadryl wasn't helping!!

I had an infection in my mouth where I'd received a biopsy. I have been taking the tablets for 3 days, and the infection is almost completely gone. No side effects--and I usually do get upset stomach with most antibiotics. Very happy with the result so far!

Got better in only two days!

A doctor gave me this for a sore throat even when he also said that I didn't have strep. He didn't verify it was bacterial. I took it and the sore throat went away, but then the day after I finished it, I developed colitis with diarrhea and had to go on another antibiotic, got dehydrated and went into the hospital. Don't take this unless you absolutely have to!! Now I may be more susceptible to the bad bacteria in the future. Missed 2 weeks of work to regain my strength and I'm a normally very healthy person. I was given this drug for a severe sinus infection. I had no side effects and within two days was feeling much better.

I was issued this medication 8 days ago for what I thought was the common cold. I started out with a cough and a severely sore throat. I have yet to see any results and have gotten some stomach issues from it. It says that diarrhea may occur, but I haven't gotten that yet. I have researched it effectiveness, but I'm still not sold on what it does....

This is the worse medicine I have ever taken! Since the second day I have had horrible diarrhea, stomach cramps, and just upset stomach all around. It makes it hard to get through a work day. I will never take it again! I just wish I knew how long the diarrhea will last I have been off medicine for two days and still having side effects.

My 5 year old was given this med for strep throat,when i went to pick it up was told it was 477.00 dollars r u kidding me i called for another antobotic,that is my insurance price before insurance it was 549.00 unbelieveable!

My 16 year old son took this medicine for 7 days and the end result is that his sore throat and ear ache still haven't gone away and now he has a cough which sounds very congested. This medicine made him feel very sick; exhausted and nauseaous. I will never use this medicine again.

My granddaughter who is 6 just started taking Suprax yesterday for a UTI, and has already broke out in hives. I picked her up for my daughter today and was told by the Boys and Girls staff that she had broke out and was itching. I called my daughter and told her that she should stop giving it to her immediately. I gave her Benadryl to combat her hives.

We treated our 2 year old great grandchild. He became very hyper and broke out with red spots on his neck and face.

My son 10 years old had terrible urinary problems. He cried and complained and pain while peeing. We were given Suprax 400mg table by our Dr. taking 1/2 of pill which would be 200mg per day for 4 days. He only weighs 72lbs.Six days later we think it cleared up his infection but the side effects of diarhea were horrible. He has now developed a irritation around his butt and can't go to school. The side effects of this drug are not worth it. I will never have my child or anyone in my family take this again. Plus finding information about his product stinks. This medicine made me very sick. I am a 27 year old woman that has had severe diareah, dry heeves, naseau, vomitting, an odd sensation to my tongue (feels like I burnt it), and severe head/neck pain.

This medicine was prescribed to my 1 yr old son. He broke out in a rash all over his chest, abdomen, and back. When I told the doctor, she said to discontinue immediately. Since he usually suffers from rashes due to his severe ezcema, we thought that's what it was. My husband and I are not alergic to any medication so we didn't think the rash was due to the medication. Now is only able to take two other types of antibiotics.

Along with the Suprax 1x/day 400 for 14 days, I took Florastor 2x/day a probiotic which works with antibiotics to restore good yeast in GI trac. I took Align (on going) in the evenings to restore good bacteria. I had the common side effects of Suprax; however, the Florastor reduced the effects after 4 days. Both probiotics are excellent to take in general.

Since the first pill my stomach has had cramps and awful gas pains.This is the worst medecine that I have ever taken.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter was prescribed this for a urinary tract infection. Her syptoms seemed to decrease the first 3 days, but before she had even finished the medication we had to go back to the doctor because her symptoms were back full force! It was also incredibly expensive, and I have relatively good insurance.

This was prescribed for my 3 year old for a very aggressive and severe pink eye infection. The drug was very effective and worked quickly (as is should for the price). The taste was ok and she did not resist to taking the medicine. On the 3rd day, she did develop a mild case of diarrhea - possibly as a side effect.

I am 17, when i started to take this medicine i developed nausea. then after several days i developed gas cramps from the medicine along with an upset stomach. I would only recommend this for those who have a strong stomach.
