I was given this medication from an ER Dr. I had A sebaceous cyst which act's up every few years, I could tell it was beginning to change so I went to the ER. And was perscribed this medicine has made me feel like I am running a high fever but I take my tempeture and it is normal. I feel tired & I would never take this medicine again.

I started taking this medication and within 12 hours the infection diminished. The only things I experienced was not being able to sleep at night and some chest pain. I do have a heart condition but the pain is always short lived (5 min).

I took this drug for an inner ear infection and sinus infection. However, since I have been taking it I have had no pain and the infection seems to have left but I am suffering from constant tinnitus( ringing in my ears) that have kept me up all night and makes me feel like I can't hear anything at work!

TAKES LONG TOO LONG TO FEEL THE EFFECTS OF THE DRUG

Stopped takimg after 3 1/2 days Caused heart palputations,breathing difficulty, severe headache, nausea, hot flashes and weakness.

This medication gave me extream headachs, blurred vision, fatigue, achs and pains all over my body. I finally stopped taking it after 4 days.

I take many herat medications such as lisinopril and toprol and plavix. I started taking the medication and from the very beginning I have been sick and dizzy. I really don't like the medication and wonder why they chose this one rathere than something else. I don't find it effective for me at all.

This medication was given to me by an ER doc for Bronchitis with asthma complications. I looked at this site because I was uncertain why the doctor chose this med instead of many other antibiotics. While reading the information I found many precautions that applied to me (diabetic, glyburide use, lisinopril use, asthma, liver problems) As a result I am going to stop the medication until I can speak with my regular doctor. The information on this web site was so very helpful by making me aware of all the risk, side effects, interactions,etc. that personally pertain to me. i am takeing for msra infection i have tooken before with no problems untill now i was haveing so many issue i wanted to get off medcine but doctor said to stay on went down to one a day instead of two i was fine side effects werent too much but wound up getting a viral infection on my thorat and doctor told me to go back to takeing two a day . i am dry even if i do drink alot of water also my headaches are bad and i feel like i have been in a car accident and i have fibromyalgia and it makes very hardand neck pain is worse.i will fight my dotor next time he tries to give me this medcine!Read More Read Less

My 13 month old son has had several ear infections over the past few months and was perscribed this medication for his most recent one. The morning of the second day for this med, he was VERY hard to wake up and had a rash covering his legs. His feet were so swollen that I couldn't even put his socks on!!!

Started taking this medication for a UTI, it started working within 3 hours, the side effects are kind of like having a head cold. My ears feel plugged up, my throat feels nasty, and I am really tired. But the UTI is going away, and I feel better already.

On the second day I woke up and could not move. EVERY joint in my entire body had become rigid and stiff. When I forced my self to bend (just to get out of bed and walk to the phone) it hurt really bad. Stopped the medication immediatly but it took a few days for it to get out of my system. (very difficult few days)

Took it for an abscess and immediately after first dose I had severe headache, body nerve aches, high fever, loss of appetite, back of neck pain, dark urine, red and burning eyes, hives in legs, constant sweating, ringing in the ears. I should've quit meds after 1st day. 3rd day went to ER. Stopped after 4th day. Still have ringing in ears 5 days after stopping the meds. MD prescribed different meds & no problems with new meds. Still ringing in ears.

I was prescribed this medicine for a UTI. I didn't notice any symptoms until night time while I was sleeping. The first day I took it I had three nightmares in a row and I NEVER have nightmares. The second night, I believe I just had one more but I new it had to be the medicine b/c I normally have peaceful sleep.

i am currently on this medication for a pretty bad kidney infection. after taking my first pill last night i developed a MAJOR headache even 800mg of ibuprofen didnt totally fix... and today i am very dizzy.. so much so that i am deciding not to drive to the store with my daughter in the car... i do feel better in my back and i think this medication has very fast results it just also has pretty nast side effects...

Taking for a UTI, has lessened my symptoms in 24 hours but has made me very weak and tired. I have also had a complete loss of appetite - literally not hungry for 12 hours at a time. I felt shaky when I took two doses too close together, be sure to space doses evenly. Also dries you out, you need tons of water with this med. But I'd rather be tired and not eating than be in pain so this medication is worth it.

I had fluid in my ears that caused infection and after 2 days this medicine made me shaky and dizzy. The following day I have had a major headache for 8+hrs.
