This product does work. I am a 35 year old woman with mild traction alopecia. I started seeing results after about 6 weeks. One side effect that I was not expecting is that I am getting hair growth in places I don't want hair. Be careful to cover any minoxidil-treated areas before you go to sleep. If it gets on your pillow, or drips from your scalp onto your face, you might notice small patch...

I started using it while also taking cortizone shots for Alopecia Aereta (first time in my life, 50 years old). I do think it is helpful, careful about letting it drip on your face. After about 3 months I am considering quitting. I can't deal with the itchy scalp and I don't want to use the product for the rest of my life. I am afraid I'm going to shed and lose the hair, as the product only works as long as you use it. OH! I've been using the men's 5% twice a day, as recommended by my dermatologist.Read More Read Less

I have been on Minoxidil for almost 2 years with no side effects and it is working for me, I only use it once a day. Iam thinking of trying the mens I heard it works better. I am having trouble with perms they seem to last for about a month. You have to make sure that you wipe any excess from getting on your face. I got lucky so far no side effects

My doctor recommended Fortalex PT and it works a lot better than Minoxidil products. With Minoxidil, my skin would burn, irritate, swell up, get blisters... theres times where i literally felt loss of breath and chest compression. My doctor quickly put me on Fortalex PT and I was able to experience hair growth without those very uncomfortable side affects. After doing my research, I found out Fortalex is 100% natural and there are no chemicals, which explains the absence of side affects... I recommend Fortalex PTRead More Read Less

After 3 weeks of use, I developed hives and severe itching on my abdomen and thighs. When I stopped use of the product, the itching disappeared but the hives remained for 2 weeks.

After less than two weeks use of topical minoxidil on my scalp, I began to develop a severe skin irritation in my armpits, chest and belly. I also experienced unexplainable weight gain (over eight pounds!).

I just shave it off and try to watch where I apply.Read More Read Less
