I have IBS with Diarrhea, and am almost house bound. Taking one Imodium AD 30 minutes before breakfast to help slow down bowel motility really helps. Most of the time it works, but I eat lots of fiber in the evening to help with the constipation it causes. Not perfect, but allows me to go out and do the things I need to do without worrying so much about sudden onsets of diarrhea.

Worked too well for me. Stopped the diarrhea but have now been constipated since using it 3 days ago. Traded one problem for another.

Whenever I have had a bad case of diarrhea, I take two Immodium A-D's, and that's it! It's over, just like that, with no side effects. I wish other medicine worked as well as this one. For me, it's like a wonder drug.

This medication works very well initially but a few hours later, causes extreme upper abdominal pain, gas and very bad bloating.

I had my gall bladder out and after that have diahrea often if not treated with this OTC drug. I know others who have had the same problem after gall bladder removal. Living with this is not an option! You have to be able to live without looking for a bathroom as your top priority whenever you go away from home. Whenever the symptoms come back, which is about every 3-4 days I take another Imodium and it works! I have had very slight side effects, nothing I cannot live with, a little dizziness but I really don't know if its from the Imodium or other medications I'm taking.Read More Read Less

Had some chest pain about 45 mins later. Went to the hospital and Liver readings were high for 2 days... Will never use again

I DEVELOPED DIAREAH AFTER TAKING THE DRUG, PLAQUENIL, AND IT WORKED WELL. HOWEVER, IT DRIED UP MY EYES SO MUCH, THAT I HAD DOUBLE VISION A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE I QUIT USING IT! IT DEHYDRATS YOUR BODY! NOT DIF TO TAKE..COULDNT GET TO THE RIGHT STAR.

even though i take as many as 12 2mg tabs a day, i still have severe cramping and bloating wity heavy pain from my belly botton to my vaginal cavity. but without the drug i could not function. any help
