    I had to learn how to take this without the flushing, itching skin-on-fire. My doctor prescribed it at bedtime with an 81mg low dose aspirin. I take the aspirin a half hour before the Niaspan and I rarely get any symptoms now. But if I take it earlier in the day or without the aspirin, oh boy it's like a heat rash and it's intense.     I was placed on this medication when i was 24 i am now 45 it has caused sever liver problem and sever sugar problems. I have been told by my doctor who is now wheening off that I may go into pacretitus. NOT GOOD. I was placed on the highest dose by Womack Army Hospital when I was 24 which is 4000mg 2000mg in am and 2000 pm no one told me of the sideeffect of this medication. this makes me very up ...
