Was given erythromycin to treat my tonsillitis however made me very sick (which really didn't help my already painful throat) and then to top it all off ended up with oral thrush.. lovely!

I am allergic to the penicillin family so my doctor gave me this medication. I took it with food and took acidophiles to avoid a yeast infection. Worked great! within 24 hours I started to feel 100% better.

This is the medicine always prescribed to me for bacterial infections or strep throat due to my being allergic to penicillin and sulfa. It always gives me a stomach ache, however I have found that if I eat some soup and soft buttered bread 15-30 minutes prior to taking the medicine it isn't nearly as bad. At least I know the medicine is strong enough to kill the bacteria and get rid of the infection!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I was suffering for months my diabeties dr. rx. this drugs two days LATER.... OMG IF I COULD AFFORD IT I WOULD BUY HER A CAR..I FEEL SOOOOOOOOO much better very little pain i can eat a full meal..no bloating...I can not say enough!!!!

avoid this medication like the plague i was given this for a root canal it has made me so ill

I love this drug. I was prescribed it in my 20s and have been taking it every day since. I am 43 now and I have not had acne since one month after I started taking it. I highly recommend it for acne. Extremely dependable, even during your cycle. God Bless

I was prescribed this medication in preparation for a tooth extraction. However, I was lucky I made it through the dental procedure because I was so sick at my stomach. On this second day, I am experiencing severe heartburn. Plus, the gas and bloating have made working in the office today difficult if not embarassing.

this drug interferes with normal bowel movements and creates much distress with my stomach including cramping, diarrhea. what it was intended to do was help with my acid reflux problems and compliment nexium that I take; it did not do that so far after 3 full weeks. I will take it a little longer and give it a fair chance.

I was prescribed this medication for 14 days. After only one day, I felt stomach upset which quickly developed into severe cramps with diarrhea. I found myself doing my old lamaze breathing to cope with the pain. I have taken antibiotics before, but never experienced this severity of side effects. My doctor had to discontinue the medication and prescribe another antibiotic. I will never try this one again!

I was so glad to get on here and see all of the reviews stating that this drug caused severe stomache pains, I was beginning to think my appendix had burst. I have never had pains like this in my stomach in my life. I started taking the 500MG FILMTABABB on Sunday during a bad case of strep throat. My doctor prescribed it to me due to my alergies with pcn. Within 2 days it was almost completely gone, but the stomach pains and headaches are getting worse. i have been battling gastric problems for years i do have a bacteria intestines will not go away. manyy many many meds have been tried to no avail. i see gastralogist in a month. also my stomach takes 17 hours to drain.however no vomiting or nausea which occurs. puzzling Drs.

This medicine made me sick from the first day I took it. When I was done taking it, I ended up back in the dr's office with nausea and a sore throat.

I was given this medication to treat rosacea. After about six days, I noticed a lot of foam in my urine. The foamy condition continued even after I stopped taking the medication. I'm now undergoing further testing to determine the cause of the foam and to see if any damage has been done to the kidneys or liver.

I was prescribed this medication to treat an ear infection/throat problem. Every time I left my house to go run errands, I would get this feeling right beneath my chest, where my ribcage came to an end. It feels tight now, unless I am laying down. The pain is not constant. It feels as though I am being punched in the chest and then it stops for two seconds and comes back. I was prescribed this medicine when I came down with bronchitis. I did not notice an immediate difference and on the 2nd day of taking the pills I was throwing up everything I ate, and had severe stomach cramps. I don't usually get a reaction to medicine, but I got a real bad reaction to this one. I caleld my urgent care and asked to switch to amoxiciilan because I didn't think I could keep any more erythromycin in my stomach and had thrown up for 2 solid hours. Prescribed twice. Two trips to ER. Felt like band squeezing my chest. Felt like vomiting would relieve pressure but couldn't. Now my medical record indicates NOT to give me this drug.

This medication caused me great stomache burning, and a huge problem with gas.

Made me very sick; I spent half the night bent over the toilet vomiting with bad stomach pains. The next day was no better; lots of cramping, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhea. Had to call urgent care and stop the medication.
