I went to the doctor because I was at the end of my rope. I felt like I was in prison. I haven't been able to lose weight since the birth of my child 8 yrs. ago. I had my gall bladder removed 1 1/2 yrs ago. Having that removed caused more complications, not being able to eat a normal portion of food without it causing massive stomach pains and the runs.. So! for over a year, not eating alot with e...

Why isn't my comment positing? I gained weight on phentermine. I gave it a bad review so what do I have to say it's good in order for it to allow my comment. Ok I'll change to someone satisfied but in all reality it was a waste of money. I don't know how everyone is losing weight. I did lose my appetite which was great but I could sleep that night. I had to take it every other day so I could...

The first time I took Phentermine, it worked wonders. I lost about 30 lbs in two months, and felt great. I actually had to force myself to eat. After taking it for 3 months or so, the effectiveness wore off, but having lost 35 lbs or so by then, it was the motivation to keep going on my own with diet and exercise. I went from a size 24 to a 14, about 60 lbs. I am going to a Dr. next week to get back on it. I did buy it online, and they "provided" the prescription, but this time am going to a Dr./Weight Loss clinic to get it. I took it again after having my son, but it did not work very well. I did maintain the weight loss with the exception of 35 lbs. I am hoping it helps me lose even 20 lbs to get me back motivated, and back to the gym. I think anyone taking it for the first time had great results for the first 2-3 months, then it is like the body becomes immune to it, no matter how long (even years) you go off before trying again. Wish me luck!Read More Read Less

I use this and I also completely overhauled my eating habits. I eat much healthier and I eat smaller portions. I also started working out doing cardio 3 times a week for 1-2 hours each time and I also started weight training 2 times a week. I have been using it for 6 months, and every few weeks I stop taking it for 2-3 weeks. To date I have lost over 50lbs, and I feel great!

I have been on this medication for about 2 and 1/2 years. It has been great, yet at this point I think there has been a build up of some sort. I have noticed I am increasingly anxious. Maybe that is just due to the idea of stopping the drug and gain weight back.

I've taken it before. But now it doesn't seem to work as well for me. I'm taking the highest miligram. I exercise and watch what I eat. Maybe I will get off it for a while and start over in a few weeks. That might make it kick in a little. My Dr. will not prescribe it to his patients. So I got if from an on line pharmacy. It is the actual medication. But it did cost way more than getting it from my Dr. Good luck everyone!

I am taking phentermine now for the 2nd time. I first took it when my oldest child was 2 1/2. I had tried all sorts of diets to get the baby weight off with no results before. My doctor recommended combining the drug with a low carb diet and I lost 50 pounds in about 2 months. I went from 190 to 140. I did not exercise at all, but was very strict about my diet. I even noticed that the month after I stopped taking the drug I continued to lose about another 10 pounds. It really changes your lifestyle. The weight stayed off until I became pregnant again, and I also did not gain as much weight with this last pregnancy. My 2nd child is 7 weeks old now and since I have finished breastfeeding I have returned to this drug without wasting valuable time on anything else. I weigh 167 and my goal is to lose 40 pounds in the next two months. It feels so good to know I can do this! If you are having a hard time obtaining this drug and can come to Nashville, Tn; look up The Doctor's Diet Program. 6 of us in my family have seen them with these significant results, and they have turned away only 1 friend of mine due to health concerns.Read More Read Less

While eating properly, such as no bread, no sweets, and NO alcohol, the medication is a highly effective appetite suppressant and provides added energy to the physical body. I highly recommend it. Getting a doctor to prescribe it for you if you are not obese, or grotesquely over weight is a real problem though. I have trouble sometimes getting rid of a few added pounds, no more than 10 usually, and doctors would rather not risk the side effects this drug may cause. I know my body better than anyone and if I feel that a drug is causing problems for me I wouldn't continue to take it. I am on the hunt for a doctor that will prescribe it to me so I may take it PRN, as it is a lot easier to lose a few pounds that are put on due to holidays, or a busy schedule than it is to take off an exuberant amount of weight. Despite 1 hour work-outs at the gym four days per week, and following weight watchers, in three months my weight did not change. One week on Phentermine, I lost 7 pounds. One month on Phentermine, I lost over 15. I will find a way to take Phentermine every day for the rest of my life. I will never be overweight again.

I just started taking P 37.5mg. Everyone talks of energy, but I haven't seen it. Is there something else wrong with me? I can take the pill and go chill back on the couch. I want the energy so I can go and do! I'm I ADD and this med does the opposite to me?

I started taking the pills about 2 months ago. I have lost about 22 lbs so far. It has really increased my energy and decreased my appetite. I am happy so far. I wonder how long is safe to take it? I really haven't had any side effects either.

I lost 52 pounds in 6 months on Phentermine. I went from a size 14 to a 8. The pill alone didn't do it, I work out 3-5 times a week, and changed my diet to eliminate sugary foods, and fill up on vegetables, fruits, and protein. It has really helped to take away my sweet tooth. Lately I have been noticing some depression, complete lack of sex drive, and severe irritability. Not sure if prolong use of this drug may cause this?

Well I started taking Phentermine on 09-25-2007 and as of 11-7-2007 I have lost 12 pounds. According to the BMI scale I am considered obese at 5'5" and 201 pounds, down to 189 pounds now. My goal is to get to 125 pounds and stay there. I was diagnosed with disc degenerative disease which had caused me to fracture a vertebrea along with an accident at work. I had back surgery and have not been able to exercise like I normally would have to help lose the weight so I was put on this wonderful drug. It has surpressed my appetite so much that there are times I forget that I haven't eaten all day until maybe 9 or 10 at night and even then I can eat something like celery and peanut butter and it fills me up. I can't wait to see the results once I start to exercise again. The only side effects I have had are dry mouth and I have recently noticed if I forget to take it one day and take it the next day I sometimes end up with diarrhea, but other than that I haven't had any major side effects.Read More Read Less

I'm not severly overweight but am only 5' tall. so a few lbs. show up quick on me. Plus I am a severe asthmatic. I took it in the fall and went from 132 to 128 in 30 days. because I did not have as much to lose my numbers are smaller but very significant in my clothing size! I started to work out, i could only make it 5 min. into a work out at first because of my asthma condition but I pressed on and came to do a 45 min workout in medium impact mode. I lost 8 more lbs. I also was determined to make my calories count, make good choices and reduce amount. And if I over do it; say out to eat... I eat only a bite or two of meat or other food high in protien to take me through the night so offset the amt. calories eaten per/day. It seems each fall I have a bout of asthma and I gain some back. but I work through it and am so happy with myself now! if you have an intent on changing how much you eat and cutting back on the goodies (sugar) you can loose it and keep it off. I think if you start eating in a way that is not normal for what you usually eat (unless it is fast food) then stick to what you usually eat but much less of it and try to eat nothing past 7 p.m. The drug just gives you a jump start. Create an intent that is a doable goal for a eating lifestyle change. I too took about 2 to 3 days to become accustomed to the affects of the drug. It creates more of a feeling of jitters. just eat healthy, vegetables (fresh, especially the green ones) and such and you should be fine.Read More Read Less

This med really works! I have been taking it for 12 weeks. When I started, I was 227 and now I'm 189. I have losted 38lbs. This is definitely a mircle pill! The only side effects i have was constipation and thirsts. So I start eating more fibers and drink more water. This change helped me eat even better than I was before I had the side effects.

Started taking Phentermine in May of 07 I had a hard time adjusting to the increased heart and sudden loss of appetite but quickly became used to it. Only major symptoms I have had from this medicine has been frequent constipation and as a result hemorrhoids. To date I have lost 42 pounds using the medicine in conjunction with major diet changes (I became a vegetarian) and exercise. As time goes on I find that the medicine is less affective at curbing the hunger pangs, but you can supplement with low or no calorie foods (IE Celery). I would recommend talking to your DR about doing this in conjunction with vitamin B shots or tablets to help ward off feelings of fatigue.Read More Read Less
