only have been taking it for a few days and i’ve been lightheaded with drowsiness. it has made me feel extremely sad, more irritable, and unstable. legit started sobbing out of nowhere in one of my classes. i’ll give it a couple more weeks but so far, not a good experience. it’s only been an issue since they upped me from 250 to 300mg

My response is to Susie! She began at a very high dose 100 mg. Lamictal has a black box warning. You need to carefully titrate up on it. Otherwise, you will get the famous Lamictal Rash. Began when I was 45 and off and on ( I fe ... Show Full Comment

I've been taking this medication for about a year and it's been very effective for me. It helps me feel more steady and stable, and avoid the constant highs and lows of bipolar. My doctor upped my dose when I began a severe bout of sleepwalking after coming off a strong sleep med. After increasing lamotrigine I stopped sleepwalking. My experience with the med has been nothing but good.

I hate this medication! I'm 48 and was diagnosed as BP2 4 months ago. Started this med at 100mg, 2 weeks later, 150mg, 3 weeks later 200mg. I"ve had no sleep since starting this med. Because I've had such a horrific time sleeping, I've been so close to loosing my mind. Having hot flashes like crazy, had them slightly before due to being postmenopausal, but even then it was doable ... Show Full Comment
