A REVISION of a knee replacement, necessary due to a fall w/broken ankle. Infection set in due to improper handling of wound vac. 11
days in hosp/ 4 clean out surgeries and softball size tissue loss. Came home w/pic line and 8 weeks Rocephin iv push. Easy to self administer. Healing progressed as expected. Transition to anti-biotic SMZ-TMP DS by mouth for 3 mos. Good as new.
