I was exposed to TB at somepoint, I thought it would better be safe than sorry so I took the INH for 3 months now. I started itching but didn't think anything of it, but then I developed a rash all over my body. I can't stop scratching! I am 24 and do not drink so I dont know why I am having such a reaction to this drug.

This medication has caused me to be totally and permenently disabled due to causing polyarticular arthritis, systemic lupus, nerve problem, and a host of other ailments due to my continued use for over a month. I was hospitalized and comatose for over 6months due to malaise and jaundice and liver damage. be sure the benefits outweighed the risks when you take this medication. I am still on 9 pills a day and use a walker to move around now. I can't live alone and do nothing for myself. I am only 37yrs old. I was 33 when I got sick.Read More Read Less

After taking this medication for six weeks, I developed a severe itchy rash around ankles and wrists. The rash spead over body, then I developed swelling and pain in my limbs and had difficulty breathing.......all this and the doctor still kept telling me he didn't believe it was a reaction to INH. He kept telling me I had scarlet fever! When I had to have rings cut off due to swelling we finally checked with a local pharmacy. He called back 20 mins later and told me to stop taking this medication and he also phoned my doctor and told him to take me off the meds. I should have gone to the hospital for detox!Read More Read Less

Took Inh, approximately 10years ago, was monitored by blood work for a 6 month period of drug administration. Blood work stayed normal, but after about 5 months hallucinations started. At the end of 6 months I was taken off medication. Since that time I have started having problems with memory and comprehension. Short term memory, also attention span has seemed most to be affected.

Developed tiredness, abdominal pain, joint pain, and weakness within 2 weeks of taking this drug. Don't know if this will affect my Dermatomyositis that's in remission.
