Previous user - appears your dissatisfaction and concerns should be focused towards your doctor rather than the medicine. The majority of cold medicines can cause interactions in users with history of high BP, not just Phenergan. Whoever your doctor is, I suggest you contact him and figure out why you were not informed of potential interactions with your current dosage of medicines. Most likely he made the assessment the benefits of this medication outweighed the potential side-effects. I think you'll find if taking this medicine in the evening close to bedtime you will have no need for the sleep-aid; the syrup and codeine will cause a noticeable drowsiness. Read More Read Less

I can't really say it works because I just took my first dose, but after I took it, I looked it up and was not impressed that is clearly states people w/high bp should not take it. Also, I was not told that it could have negative reactions w/the other meds I take for sleeping, and anxiety.
