I experienced severe edema and fluid leakage from my lower legs. My skin was breaking down and my calves were covered in blisters and ulcers. At hospital I was given Lasix as an IV along with antibiotics. My script was for a 20mg dose of furosemide once daily. The results were unbelievable! Within 5 days my condition was in full blown reversal. Oh, I urinated a lot...every hour or so. The fluid st...

This is the first time using this brand. I have used a different brand before that just a half pill would work immediately. This has not done a thing.

This works pretty good at 40 mg for me. yes I must pee a lot, but better than ballooning up. For those not liking results right away, to tell you the truth it took around a month to get rid of the water accumulation in my legs. i was on 20 mg for a month and it just accumulated, not good ended up putting me back in the hospital and they upped it

Gradual increase to 160mg/day. 80mg in AM and 80 more in mid afternoon. Swelling in legs and feet has gone way down and accumulation in lungs is gone, breathing is much easier. Frequent urination can be restrictive as to what I can do outside the home.

What patients must know is that Furosimide has many ineffectiveness complaints, which is based on the generic manufacturer. Some are very good, like Mylan, while others, like Qualititest, are close to fake. I can only blame the FDA's complete lack of oversight on Generics for what has become life threatening for profit fraud.ð??¯

Severe swelling in ankles and legs. Can NOT get rid of it an Lasik is not helping at all. Gets worse as the day goes by. Wondering if one of my medications is not causing the problems. Seems to be getting worse as the years go by. Doesn't matter if I move around or if I sit. My legs and feet hurt from the excessive and unsightly water retention.

I take this drug to remove excess water retaining in my calves and ankles. I believe you need to wear compressed stockings while taking the drug. Plus only take them off if you are bathing. Otherwise leave them on. I couldn't even fit in my sandals before taking this drug. Now, my sandals are way to big. Only problem I have with is my right side of my back hurts; painful. Every time you use the bathroom you need to drink about the same as you pee'd out. I take one pill twice a day. The morning pill where's off in 4 hours. If you have chapped lips or dry hands your not drinking enough water. Take your weight divide by two then multiply by .8 that will be your required amount of water to drink a day. Don't over drink either. You can drown.Read More Read Less

This medicine helps me breathe easier by reducing the fluid in my lungs, especially at night, due to chronic heart failure. The only problem I have is frequent urination while trying to shop.

I have been taking Furosemide for 10 months. My shortness of breath goes away. My coughing spells lessen. The only problem is: if I miss a dose, my shortness of breath and coughing return with a fierceness. Overall I am very satisfied with the medication.

I have been taking this medicine for fluid retention for 2 weeks and I have not seen any signs that it is working for me. I still have fluid retention. It doesn't even make me go to the bathroom any more than normal.

Pill was 20mg and small, very easy to swallow. I have not noticed any reaction at all; no decrease in swelling, or even increased urination.
