I'm in the midst and compared to other prior methods, this is horrible. DO NOT RECOMMEND! I started at 4:30pm, kept hydrated through the day and began drinking after mixing. It tastes horrible like a salt lick. I'd gotten through half within 2 hrs, yet no bowel movements. I'm now 3/4th way through, it's been almost five hours and I had to stop after vomiting, and still no bowel movements and feel horrible. Miralax treatment way better. I take a gulp of the solution and immediately chase it with white cranberry juice and then water. Then it isn’t too bad. Just do it.

My doctor had me take 2 bisacodyl 5mg laxative tablets at 4pm before starting the GoLYTELY prep at 6pm. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep it down because this stuff tastes pretty bad, salty and bitter, so I requested that my doctor give me an anti-nausea medication, Zofran, to take an hour before I began. I took it at 3pm, before I took the 1st laxative tablets. (It lasts for 8 hours.) Note: I began eating a low fiber diet, and very lightly for 4 days before I started to make it easier on myself, the less you have to get rid of the better. Also, the day before, I was on a liquid diet, and drank as much clear fluids as I could, to avoid dehydration. All these preparations really helped me. At 8:20pm, I started having to relieve myself. It very quickly turned to watery poop that came out very fast without much warning. I was asleep at 4:20am when, whoosh, it came out of me. Wear a depends, protect your bed. The product is trash you better off going to the dollar store buying the pills for a dollar powder packets don't work just makes my stomach rumble thats it

I have took 8 doses and am only getting pain and occasional farting. I still have not had a proper bowel movement. I had to take exlax (stimulate laxative) to get this stuff out of me. I told the doctors this stuff has never worked for me. Ever. And they kept prescribing it to clear my bowels due to chronic constipation. I have a colonoscopy coming up and I will refuse it if they dare to prescribe this awful stuff. 1) doesn't work 2)extremely painful 3) Gatorade will forever taste gross

Worked fast in 4 hours to get to mostly clear liquid stools. On 3 day post colonoscopy, developed low fever progressed to shaking chills for two days, sudden onset clear liquid stools 6 hours. fevers gone, dehydrated. Covid negative. Low potassium. ?virus or slow resulting side effect of the PEG?

Constant nausea. Disgusting. Taken too slowly due to difficulties tolerating. Will never ingest this garbage again.

Tasted o.k. for the first hour or so, but by the time I had gone through 2 liters on day 1 it was very hard to swallow the stuff. Next morning the taste didn't seem quite as bad, but it still did not cause a bowel movement, so no colonoscopy. I started using glycerin suppositories and they worked little by little, but I had to keep it up all day. By late that night I finally got rid of most of the prep (thanks to the suppositories). Very unpleasant experience. Nurse said the next time I should have the colonoscopy scheduled for the 3rd day after starting the prep, but that means fasting for two and a half days. This is my 2nd colonoscopy. This oral prep flavor is absolutely horrible. The last one I had was a different brand that was a salty lemon flavor. This one has not been enjoyable at all.

I have 4 hours to drink 4 liters. I'm 3 hours in and no BM yet. It tastes like I am drinking a big glass of someone's sweat! I had sharp pains in my side but just now I felt some things start to move and make noise and the pain stopped. Maybe it's getting ready to work. But NEVER AGAIN will I do this.

I had the lemon lime flavor and it was SALTY and tasted like boogery, flat lemon lime soda (took a chaser of lemon lime soda with each cup which helped). Took a couple hours to start to kick in after starting 8oz doses every 15 mins. Also vomited a lot. Very watery stool. Finally had clear stool after a handful of hours.

I am 68 year old female. This is my 3rd colon cleanse in almost 30 years. I was dreading it the most, after reading reviews on this site, but to my delight- it was by far the easiest and most effective. It was actually drinkable by itself! I also had no problem adding a different flavor with each glass, from lemon juice, to crystal light (lemon), to apple cider vinegar, to dilll pickle juice ( my fav). I liked the fact that it wasn't sweet and the texture was like water. I started at 1:30pm and things started to rock and roll exactly 2 hours later. I finished that huge 4 liter container at 8pm. disgusting to drink... tastes awful, hard to drink something this vile every 10 MINUTES! Repeated gagging, nausea. Never again. Prep with stool softeners, Mirilax FAR better.

Took unflavored product which is not unpalatable, for colonoscopy next day. After 4 1/2 hours hadn't had a bowel movement. Was screaming loudly and writhing in pain for an hour as if someone was repeatedly stabbing me. Finally nearly 5 hours in, I had a BM and pain began dissipating. I called the urgent care clinic I live 3 minutes away from, and they said they were closing in 9 minutes so drive myself to their hospital emergency room in another town 20 minutes away. Told them I wasn't going to be able to manage that so the receptionist spoke to the nurse on duty and she said they were closing in 9 minutes and to go to that same emergency room at the hospital. Because I live alone, I decided I couldn't make it and would continue to endure the agony a bit longer and about 20 minutes later had the first BM. This was an experience that was worse than when I had labor for my children, and at different times had broken my legs. It was agony. I drank the solution as directed and did not have a bowel movement until one hour before the procedure. I told this to the nurse and she told the doctor. The doctor then said, "come back in six months." It was a total failure.

I follow the instruction step by step. Now it is 1 hour and 30 min. There is still no bowl movement. I have drunk so much fluid and almost throw up. I did prep for colonoscopy before. But this solution is extremely disappointing !

If you want to know the secret, here it is. This solution is pretty nasty but if you drink at least 1/4th of this bottle you should be good. The doctors are looking for a yellowish orange stool. Of course it will be watery. I only drink about 1/4th of this bottle with a bottle of gatorade between drinks to help with the taste. Usually within the first half you'll know.

Started at 5pm, 8 oz every 10 min until after the 3rd time did every 15-20min. It really helped to drink it through a straw and drink it fast. Had a bowel movement after 1 hour. Started having clear bowel movements after 3rd one. It helped that the day before I ate extremely light. I had a lot of gurgling , bloating and feeling full.

Took this medication prior to colonoscopy, Did not work at all, all I got were stomach rumblings, after first half, then the same after second half. No stool was passed. I threw up after the second half, and was shivering. Will not have this medication again, and probably will not have colonoscopy, just too much hassle, and I live 80 miles from clinic, so had to report in, and be examined and then told to reschedule. I doubt that I do.

When I took my first drink I thought I was going to be sick. I really didn't want to drink anymore but I did. I Chased it with ginger ale and managed to finish. I hope the next time I have to drink it they can flavor and sweeten it. I feel sick just thinking about it. Lol
