I was suffering from a nonstop migraine of various degrees of pain for over 25 days. My doctor gave me an injection of Toradol and at first I thought it was a waste of time. I went back to work with the same headache with no relief. However, 7-8 hours later my migraine pain was almost nonexistent. I woke up the next day with no pain and have been headache free now for 8 days. This drug is amazing....

Well I have fibromyalgia and degenerative back disease. I also suffer from phlebitis. I have some kind of systemic inflammatory disease I think is related to Lupus Erythamosis. Anyway I have had 3 pulmonary embolisms and without this drug I might have not made it. I have the oral tablets I use sparingly when I am going to be on my feet a lot. Like any NSAID it can be hard on your stomach lining... so you can only take it for about 4 days maximum. Little known fact.. this medicine is so effective at pain relief that it is widely used by the NFL for management of players pain and recovery from trauma.Read More Read Less

This medication helped with my flares from RA and GBS that I was recently diagnosed with. None of the other pain medications were working! I called my doctor in extreme pain because of the inflammation, told me to take 60mg of prednisone and call back if i was not better by the next day. I called back later that afternoon prepared to go to the emergency room so they can give me a steroid shot. The doctor told me to come in to her office, that it would be cheaper than ER visit. I am glad I did! I was given Toradol injection and within 10 mins my pain went from an 8 to a 4, and much better the next morning. I was amazed!!!! Usually when I wake up I grab my pain meds, this morning I didn't need them.Read More Read Less

I have a compressed nerve in my L5 with bulging discs, everytime I injure my back I cannot walk due to the swelling and pressure on the nerve, literally cannot walk, go to emergency now 3 times, 1 injection and I was able to walk again,. I know there is all sorts of pain meds out there but nothing else "touched" the pain, this stuff literally is a miracle to me.

Now that I read the Web MD info on this, I should have taken the meds earlier in my pain cycle than once the pain gets to a "it's now or the pain is going to be intolerable" point. Honestly, Aleve (or the store brand generic I take), was just as effective on my infected tooth as this was. I can't take them at the same time, so I cannot be sure if Aleve would have fixed everything (things changed after this was prescribed), but it did seem just as good or better on my pain. Also, I read the info but I still don't get why 5 days is the limit. On top of that, my pharmacist says you have to wait a MONTH between dose stretches of these meds. It seems odd to me. To sum up, I'm on this because I work with kids and CANNOT be on a narcotic. I would just take a doctor recommended dose of Aleve or similar vs this for MY TOOTHACHE. Everyone is different so it may or may not work better for you. Read More Read Less

I was very surprised at how fast this medication worked after I had a hip replacement. The nurses preferred this over a pain pump. I wish I could of used this along time ago.

My neurologist prescribed Toradol for my optical migrains. I have these migraines every day and half of the time, I am unable to see anything but pitch black all around me. I am pleased that the Toradol works, but can only take it up to 5 times a month.Because my stomach is very sensitive to anti inflamitories, I do experience a lot of reflux and bloody vomit, but it's no where near as horrid as ibuprofen, naproxen, voltaren, etc.

I have Celiac disease and IBS, and this pain medication works better for me than morphine ever has. I also had it as a pain medicine cocktail following my c-section. This medication is a Godsend.

I was given one shot of this medication. Within 2 hours a spider like vien rash appeared on my back and butt. The Dr. doesn't know what it is and why it appeared. 4 weeks later, the rash is still there and they can do nothing for it. This shot made everything worse.

**DO NOT TAKE WITH MELATONIN!! Or at very least consult with your doctor first. I had what was supposed to be a basic laparoscopic appendectomy, and was given Toradol for pain afterward. Even though I had informed the hospital that I had been using melatonin (just 3 mg/night) for the week before, it was not on their possible contraindications list. I had life-threatening internal bleeding. Please be careful and let your doctor know EVERYTHING you are on, and even if they are not worried, do a google search yourself. 30 seconds on WebMD could have saved my life, or at least could have saved me 5 days in the hospital! (btw, pain relief was merely moderate)Read More Read Less

I just had arthroscopic surgery of the knee. I am allergic to everything so the doctor gave me Toradol. I was skeptic at first and split the medication just to see if I was going to have a reaction. None, and I felt a lot better. Next dose I took another half again no reaction. Next dose I took a whole dose and I felt great. I suffer from several auto-immune diseases and plantar fascitis of both feet and most of the time just have to deal with the pain. When I took the Toradol the pain was less noticeable and I actually felt much better. It has been two days since my last dose and all the pain is back. It is too bad that this medication cannot be used on a continual basis. Read More Read Less

I have severe RA and have been trialed on every NSAID it seems. For severe flares the Toradol/Prednisone combo injection provides instant relief from both Pain and swelling. Much better than prednisone alone. Even when taking the 7day pred pack, Without the addition of toradol, relief is minor. On my last visit to my PCP (after rheumatologist's office hours). I walked in with hands that looked like baseball mitts. Received the shot and was almost completely pain free by the end of the 10 minute ride home. The swelling had noticeably and almost completely subsided as well. Remember to use caution when taking as needed as the side effects can be ugly. I only use the Toradol when nothing else will help.Read More Read Less

Have a very bad cold/ flu. Had stabbing pain in my ear. Felt so dizzy and weak almost couldn't stand. I've had almost non-stop headaches for 3 days. (800 mg Ibuprofen didn't help) A few hours after the 60mg injection I feel no more stabbing ear pain. Feel much better. Only now, feel my legs restless in bed. (I also took Mucinex w/ Sudafed so that may have contributed too.)

I have been a long distance runner for 25 years. I6 weeks ago I suffered an injury while running. I couldn't hardly walk and have had inries before but always recovered within a couple of weeks. I was frantic and finally found a doctor who gave me a shot of this drug. I was back to my old self within a few hours and able to run 3 miles the next day. I had no side effects whatsoever.

I went into the urgent clinic one night with a terrible headache I also had vomiting with this headache the doctor said it was a migraine and suggested I take a shot of this. it did take the edge of this horrible headache but the next day my head felt heavy and when I woke up in the morning I could not see clearly in my right eye, I got so scared I thought I was going blind for this reason I will not be taking this injection again. I hope this feeling in my eyes wears off, I have left a message with my eye doctor. Read More Read Less
