I purchased the ointment OTC for relief of a extreamly painful boil on my abdomen. Within minutes I could feel the medication soothing the angry wound as it became less tender. I did notice that I became somewhat lightheaded with a stiff neck shortly after my second application (it is recommended that you don't use this medication more than twice a day).
