My cholesterol and triglycerides have been within normal range for over 6 years. I have been taking 1500 mg twice a day with no problems, and must reinforce the information that you need to take with food.

Along with regular exercise, this medication has enabled me to raise my HDL from less than 40 to 70. After experiencing flush, my pharmacist advised taking 81mg aspirin a short while before taking the nicotinic acid ER. BINGO! Success!

My cholesterol levels are well under control and have been maintained this way for the last 4 years. Ratio 2.2.this is a preventative for me as both parents have CAD and I have non symptomatic CAD and diabetes. Very important to take with food.i am on1000mg 2x day. I still getting the prickly heat feeling sometimes but it is tolerated and doesn't last
