I have been taking Norco for years for treatment of Fibromyalgia and RSD pain (plus a few other fun things). I have fairly severe nerve damage and the pain is horrendous without meds. Before I found a doctor who would actually treat my pain, I wanted to give up. Taking the meds gave me back my life. I had to deal with the predjudice people have against people who take long-term pain meds and had t...

I use to take Loritab for pain, they have since stopped making them and now this is the result. It has little to no affect compared. I have also know a few others that have been forced to swap to these and the same result. Not much. It is amazing to see reviews that I have read. I have asked questions about the results and some claim it is the binder that is used, not sure if that can have that much result but it has to be something.

I have taken this drug for a herniated lumbar disc and I am not taking it as part of a pain treatment for degenerative disc disease. I have had great success. During the herniated disc period I was two 10/325 three times daily for a long period of time. It was a life saver. I recently started the treatment of one to two 7.5/325 every other day along with epidural steroid injections once a month. The treatment of every day or as needed is to help me from becoming dependent. So far it does great as far as pain treatment.Read More Read Less

Was prescribed this medication to take in addition to Sumatriptan for a migraine headache that lasted 4 days. This medication did not ease my pain, it just made me feel high and sleepy, migraine was still there.

I have been taking this med after fracturing my shoulder (humerus) and was in great pain the first few weeks. Found out from talking to office RN that I could have been taking 2 of the 5/325mg tabs. Script said 1 every 6 hours which did almost nothing. When I started taking 2 at bedtime it helped me sleep and controlled pain better. Docs are still not very good at controlling pain or explaining pain meds! Am now gradually going off it after 4 months.

I was prescribed this medication for pain for a dislocated shoulder and torn ligaments and fractured humerous bone. I have tried this meds at least 3 times and it doesn't work as a pain med. I agree with another comment that it gives you a head high but that's all. I wonder if the Dr's prescribing these meds actually took them, if they would still prescribe them?.... The medicine is not a pain reliever.

I have too much pain. Norco is only better than nothing. If I had eternity, I could move a mountain with a teaspoon. But I don't and I need medication that will actually enable me to function. But there's this drug war, and some kind of lack in medical education. God help me. This is a wasted life.

Was prescribed Norco for tooth implant. Did not work at all. Pain was still there so started piggy backing Advil with it every 4 hours. It was the only way to get relief. Even then the pain was still there just not as bad

I've been taking norco since 2007 when I broke my tailbone. Was prescribed after back surgery along with muscle relaxers and morphine. It gives me a head high and does not help with pain much, but makes it easier to fall asleep (not its intended use, i know). it also makes my face itch like crazy.

Norco 5/325 did not even touch the pain from a fractured sacrum. Dr. wouldn't increase strength of prescription. I tried 1 1/2 pills and that didn't help either, BUT 2 Norco 5/325 did the job for hours. I'm a senior citizen and pain from this triangle bone at end of spinal cord was so excrusiating I was screaming everytime the nurses tried to move me. It was like no other pain i've ever faced. Norco 5/325 didn't touch it.

I have been taking hydrocodone for years for my osteoarthritis in my knee. The pain relief is excellent. However, I experience itching over my entire body and it keeps me awake. I normally have my prescriptions filled at CVS but the last time I went to get it they were out of it. I went to Walgreen & filled the prescription there. To my elated surprise, I did NOT experience the side effects of itching and not being able to sleep. If you have experienced these side effects & get your pills from CVS I highly recommend trying a different pharmacy.Read More Read Less

After open shoulder surgery, I took this every four hours for about four days, then only one before bed. I sleep on my right side, so sleeping with a brace in a recliner needs some kind of meds. I am all over juice, Vitamin C Emergency drinks, roughage and water with lemon. No constipation like I had with knee surgery several years ago.

I have been using norco for 3 years, its been wonderful, use it as your doctor prescribes and you wont have any problems. Drug addicts, have ruined this drug's availability though, for those of us, that legitimately need it. So, now we suffer in pain, because of it. Doctors need to re read and re-evaluate the "MTUS" chronic pain guidelines, page 11, of 964

I've been taking Hydrocondone in some form since late 2006 or 8.5 years. Started with neuroropthy at 5.0 500 no help, was changed to 7.5 500 worked very well reduced to 5.0 500 as other medi's helped. Then bad car wreak, broke neck, back, pelvis, broken elbow,& collaped lung. Morphine was replaced with 7.5 500 finally reduced to 3 a day of 5.0 500 for several years 4 a day. Started having RF Abalition's with saddle blocks and Eppy's at 80 Abalition's upped to 7.5 500 3 times a day. At 140 RF A. I had them reduced to 7.5 325 3 times a day for fear of liver problems. Last year upped to 4 times a day and at 215 RF Ablaition's all repeat's. Drug has worked very well as long as I stay ahead of the pain. Once pain grows to much I must stop all motion until medi's catch up. I've had 4 full withdrawl's lasting almost 6 days. Very bad thing to let happen when trying to ween myself off pain killer's. I'll never be able to go without them now. I'm keeping the amounts as low as possible so as I age I will have room to increase doseages.Read More Read Less

I have had both knees replaced and one surgery had to be re-done completely leaving me with chronic pain in my leg and back. I see a pain management Dr. who prescribed Norco 10/325. It helped at first, but after being on it much longer than I would like to be, I find it does not help at all and when I don't take it on time, I do feel withdrawal symptoms. Wish I had never had to take any pain meds at all, but thanks to a very bad ortho surgeon, I am stuck. If anyone has had good luck with something else, I sure would love to hear about it. Now I have peripheral neuropathy in both feet from nerve damage. I was given Gabapentin and not feeling good with it at all. Shaky, sweating, insomnia...what a roller coaster ride, not a good one.Read More Read Less

Did not work for me!!! Very little pain relief. Have not slept for more than 3 hrs at a time since prescribed. Plain Tylenol PM worked better. Given 5-325, 1 every 6 hrs. Barely worked for 3 hrs. It was hell waiting for the next 3 hrs. I bet no doctor waits that long for relief!!!!

I had my gallbladder removed, and was prescribed this for my pain and whatnot. 750 was the dosage, 30 pills. Taking two got rid of my pain. I've been off it for the past three days and am having withdrawal. It feels like the flu, but it isn't. Any suggestions to ease the withdrawal symptoms? Chills/Heat Flashes, Slight Nausea, Muscle aches, Trouble sleeping, Diarrhea, And Dizziness.

I had both knees replaced. I couldn't take Percocet or morphine because they made me sick. I started taking 2 Norco 7.5 every 4 hours. It took care of the pain but I was sleepy and groggy. I changed and took 1 every 3 hours round the clock for 10 days. I gradually worked with the mess to where I backed up to every 4 hours. It has been 3 weeks and I am to every 6-7 hours. This is while still doing active therapy twice daily. I have had no other side effects. And I am able to function normally. My therapist has suggested not going off of Norco until I am done with therapy. I decided on my own to back off on the time and I have been fine.Read More Read Less
