Thank God I read the reviews after use because I would not have used this product otherwise. I was using an antibiotic for my stomach pains (amoxicillin) and I got a mild yeast infection. Just itchy with a small amount of discharge and slight odor. I used this product on Monday night, I didnt have any burning nor did I become swollen, I did notice that the cottage cheese like discharge came ...

Everyone is describing painful swollen itching burning- these I found to be the symptoms of the yeast infection itself, present *before* I administered the medication. It has only been twelve hours for me but I am already seeing some relief- especially less burning and itching- and am hopeful for more over the course of the week.

I don't remember having a burning sensation when I used this about 5 nights ago, though I have had burning in the days since. My symptoms were somewhat mild then, just an itch. This med only comes in an ointment that I can see. I had hoped for a suppository ovule like other alternatives, but no, it was just a large applicator filled with ointment that was pretty messy. I woke up the next morning and it was like water was dripping out of me rather than a thicker typical discharge, which I thought was odd. I had hoped that I would start to feel relief over the next couple of days but really it's just gotten worse. I don't think this med made it worse, I just think it didn't do anything for me. So I have used this one other time and felt the burning itching sensation after inserting and felt relief when I woke up. Well this time it’s the complete opposite I was up every hour with the burning and itching. When I got up out of bed this morning my labia is so swollen I walk funny and it hurts to close my legs. Sitting in the bath is doing nothing at the moment. I won’t blame it being a generic brand because the Monistat 1 had the same ingredients as the one I purchased. Just beware it may work perfectly the first time you use it, but the next time could be your time to have the reaction Read More Read Less

This is the worst experience ever. I have had a yeast infections before, no symptoms and only knew because the doctor told me. This time I have very mild symptoms and I believe and was looking for a quick fix. I have gotten the a 3 day treatment before but I saw this one day and said hey let’s get it out the way. After taking it within 2 min I was itching so bad it’s unbelievable. I thought I was having an allergic reaction! I started googling because there is no way I was going to be able to wait until morning to see my doctor. I was going to the ER. I found all the horrible reviews of how bad this product is and not am I paying for it. I’m using methods I’ve read to reduce the itchy burning sensation. This is def waaaaatyy worse than the yeast infection. Please DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCTRead More Read Less

So, this stuff has not worked for me. I used it because it was just a one night medication and I was like heck yeah..... don't do it. I put it in before bed and I woke woke up in the middle of the night with my labia swollen and irritated. I couldn't even sit down right or go to the gym because I was in so much pain the. It went away within 24 hours. This is 3 days later I'm writing this.

I have never in my life experienced such throbbing and stinging pain after using this medication. I followed the instructions and i woke up at 2am in so much pain. My vulva was triple the size and so swollen!! DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!!! My yeast infection wasn’t that bad, now i wish I would’ve never used the cream.

After suffering several days with an itchy, swollen vulva and trying several at-home techniques (including an oatmeal and baking soda bath for relief or inserting a boric acid tablet to supposedly cure the problem), I became DESPERATE to find something that would work. I did not want to suffer through a vaginal exam because I knew it would be TOO painful (as it was already hurting me to walk, sit, stand, and just LIVE). I inserted this medication before bedtime, and this was the FIRST night that I didn’t awaken to severe itching and scratching! It definitely gave me instant relief. Did it burn for a slight second after insertion— yes, but nothing unbearable or long-standing. But I felt a tremendous amount of relief when I got up in the morning, and, while I still have the slightest amount of irritation (because the medication takes 7 days to work fully), I am now able to go through my job without discomfort and stress. I am GLAD that I finally found this product, as the other OTC creams do not work for me (this was more like a petroleum gel), and this will be my go-to treatment from this point on.Read More Read Less

I have no idea if it had any impact on the infection because I was in too much pain from the medication! Seriously, this stuff is like napalm on your poor lady bits. Not only did it burn, it made me swell up until I couldn't even w, sleepless night. It took several baths to finally get rid of it all, and then I have to wait another 12 hours before I dared to try anything else. I finally hobbled out and picked up some clotrimazole, and a full 18 hours after using this product, the swelling has finally begun to go down, and I was able to get some sleep. Seriously, I don't know why this is still on the shelves. Save yourself 12-18 hours of pure torture! Read More Read Less

I was diagnosed by a doctor that I have a yeast infection and they prescribed me pills but the pills were not working. So I use this medication and a couple minutes later it started itching and burning. nothing too bad though it went away after an hour. My yeast infection is now better using this medication.

I recommend this medication to anyone. It is faster than fluconazole and more effective. There are comments about burning and itching but this is NORMAL.( do not try to pee the medicine out, you just have to deal with it for it to work ) Once you insert it you will feel relief and yes there will be intense burning and itching but it literally only last an hour. The best thing to do is pee before instering it and holding in the medicine for about 1 hour if you need to pee again. By the way if you are taking this don’t take alcohol, everyone’s body is not the same but whenever I drank alcohol it would come back so I stayed away for 2 weeks and the uti cleared up. Make sure to you drink about 4-5 water bottles a day to remove all the bacteria from the vagina this will make the process easier. Read More Read Less

I took the medication about 2 hours ago and am experiencing what a lot of women are experiencing. The hot, fiery, swollen lady parts. BUT, what I find hilarious is that people are blaming this brand when it has the same exact ingredients as the Monistat 1...I did my research at the store & compared both brands. They have literally the same ingredients. Now, this is only my second yeast infection ever & I'm 34. I have a high pain tolerance & I'm sure when I wake up in the morning I'm going to feel better. But, I just think it's hilarious for people to say to never buy a generic product when it literally has the same ingredients as name brands. It's the same with body lotions, hair products, toothpaste, etc.Read More Read Less

Ok so I will say that with this product you have to be a tough cookie to endure the intensified itching and burning that you’ll have to endure the first hr or so after inserting it. For everyone who’s complaining about the side effects, you have to think about the fact that it’s 7 days worth of medicine packed into 1 so of course it’s gonna be very intense!! If you’re super sensitive and can’t stand being a bit uncomfortable then I’d suggest the 3 or 7 day kit, otherwise it’s a great product just be prepared for a little discomfort initially.Read More Read Less

About an hour after a painful insertion with the applicator, the itching and burning woke me from a deep sleep. It was HORRIBLE!. I'm still in pain after 3weeks, and I've seen a gynecologist about a it. The exam was too painful for him to finish. Another appointment on Tuesday. Prayers appreciated..

I’ve had about 5 yeast infections my entire life and I couldn’t remember hurting so much like I did when using this product. I hurt to sit down and was itching like crazy the first two days so bad I slathered cold Greek yogurt on my moe moe to relieve myself. I’m on day three and starting to feel a lot better but still itchy, I’m hoping to feel better soon but still worried if this medicine will work. Next time, if there is a next time I will be buying the Monostat brand.

I wish I had read the reviews before using this product. I used this product 2 days ago and still swollen, itchy and in pain. The YI symptoms were very mild, I noticed immediate burning and tingling after use, but thought it was just the medication working. Have had to soak in a cool bath, use ice packs and Tylenol to even be able to function. I will never buy this product again.

After trying several prescription medicines that didn’t work, I was given another prescription but Walmart didn’t have medicine and told me it would be Monday. I therefore went to look for OTC cream to try!!! I’m glad I did bc this gave me instant relief!!!
