After trying 5 different statins w horrid side effects i decided to try Zetia. One of my sisters cholesterol was over over 300 and after 60 days dropped to 80. It took me a while to realize the serious problem with insomnia I started experiencing was due to the ezetimibe. Problems with sleep wasn't listed on the routine list of side effects I had looked at. I also was having a low level constant anxiety and mild depression. This does not occur when off of this medication.

I was taking Atorvastatin. Caused bloating and severe muscle pain. Stopped taking this. Cholesterol got high again but pain eased dramatically. Now 9 months later Doctor put me on Ezetimibe. Took it 5 days. Bloating and pain has returned. Very disgusted right now. Will never take cholesterol melds again. It's not worth it. Quality of life is more important to me at this age.

Cardiologist prescribed Zetia. Cost too much. Purchase Generic form (ezetimibe ) from Canadian Pharmacy. Works great! Cardiologist is very pleased with the results.
