This drug changed my life dramatically for the better. I went through menopause in my late thirties and my sexual desire and response became almost zero after that. This was hurtful to me and my loving, good husband. I have taken estratest HS for seven years, and the testosterone in the prescription, estratest HS, gave me back the normal sexual desire and response I should have. I have had no negative side effects from taking this prescription. I am devastated now, though, because Solvay Pharmaceuticals made a business decision to stop making estratest. Had the company researched and advertised the product, though, for its benefits for women's normal sexual functioning, they would have made a mint in sales. I am saddened that men can get Viagra, but pharmaceutical companies haven't even advertised the benefits of testosterone for normal sexual functioning in women. Doctors, that I have gone to, didn't even suggest the prescrition's use for my hormone deficiency; I had to tell my doctor about the need for a prescription for testosterone after reading about it in a medical book called "Intended For Pleasure", by Dr. Ed Wheat.Read More Read Less

I have recently put on quite a bit of weight and wonder if it's due to this drug?

This is great. I had a total hysterectomy 2 yrs. ago. Now, after taking syntest for a hile, I have a sex drive and also I have a lot of energy whereas beforesyntest, when I was just on vivelle dot patch, I felt like crap most of the time. I guess we all need a little testosterone too!
