Had colonoscopy for extreme diarrea, GI doc put me on this for IBSD, it is the only thing that has helped..immodian quit working which is why I went to doc.

It caused severe constipation that woke me up in the middle of the night. It also caused severe dry mouth where I could hardly swallow.

Given for ibs and diverticulosis, not much help, took 4 hours to work , still had upset stomach, dry mouth, became constipated..going to call doc for a new med !

Severe abdominal pain for over a year, on other meds for ulcers, etc. This in combination with other meds is finally allowing me to go back to work without doubling over when eating. It has reduced the pain in abdomen due to problems with colon. I use it as needed when attacks of pain occur and not daily. I have not noticed any side effects as other meds have similiar effects of dry mouth, sensitivity to sun, but side effects have not worsened as a result.

i was in pain constantly and unable to do anything. Since taking this medicine I am able to do things without fear of feeling bad or worrying where the closest bathroom is. This medication does cause dry mouth, dry eyes and constipation, but they don't affect me knowing i actually have my life back! I started on the lower dose but was moved to the higher dose and it is working.

Administered only as needed. Instantly stopped the pain with 1/2 tablet. Symptoms were severe pain comprable to spasms in upper quadrant. This has been a miracle drug for me.
