You put a capsule into a very small plastic device, twist, and inhale. The twisting breaks the capsule in two, and the inhaling spins the fragments rapidly, dispersing the powder completely and carrying it into your bronchii or whatever they are. No propellant to cause you to choke or cough. I prefer it by far compared to the inhalers, but it is unavailable basically everywhere today. Too simple, and I suppose there are dumb-ish people who cannot figure out which end of a gun the bullet comes out of, exposing the firm to liability (especially in the US) The manufacturer's "DISKUS" (similar to the Advair diskus in mechanical operation) gives 60 doses for about $30, which is a ripoff - they're getting lots of money for a complex clever plastic large device that has no advantages to the intelligent user compared to rotacaps. (I took an Advair diskus apart, it is a marvelous device, but as appropriate as using a Mercedes to do the functions of a wheelbarrow.) And it appears that this "diskus" format is available in Canada but I do not know about the US.
