Have used Saizen to recover from injuries and surgery. It does cause some increase in fluid retention if taken at a high dose for longer periods. Significantly improves sleep quality. Duration of benefit is short, however, when using serum IGF-1 as a marker. At a therapeutic dose, such as 4-8 mg./week, Saizen loses its growth-producing effects within about 3 weeks. This is thought to possibly be d...

I went to this "age-defying" doctor that assured me I would drop weight so fast and feel so good that I would be amazed with his program. He put me on this Saizen injection 2x's a day, with no other instruction other than to take the shots and the pounds would start falling off. That was in July. Well, the only thing that got lighter was my check-book! Overthe next 4 months - I GAINED 19#'s. I slowly started losing the ability to lift dishes with my right arm - the elbow hurt terribly. Then I couldn't lift my left arm above my waist - it was excrutiatingly painful. The deal buster was when my right hip "locked" and I couldn't lift my leg or walk without it causing so much pain that I would shake, and I couldn't lift my right leg at all. I called the doctor and he said I was just holding water. since I couldn't get in my car to drive to his offic, he mailed me some water pills. What an asshole! I stopped the drops and dropped the doc. It took over a year to be able to lift my arm and walk without debilitating pain. I'm not 100% and never will be. This was a horrible experience and this guy should be in jail and stripped of his license! What a quack!Read More Read Less

Duration of benefit is short, however, when using serum IGF-1 as a marker. At a therapeutic dose, such as 4-8 mg./week, Saizen loses its growth-producing effects within about 3 weeks. This is thought to possibly be due to increased levels of IGF-1 binding proteins, which reduce levels of free IGF-1. Saizen may raise blood sugar somewhat, though not usually to problematic levels in non-diabetics. Unlike oral anabolic steroids, Saizen has no effect on Cholesterol, HDL, or LDL. The major drawback to Saizen is the cost. A typical effective dose costs $200-$300 week. Read More Read Less

But whenever I do take it, the morning after I am the Incredibul Hulk. If even you look at me wrong I feel like and have a hard time to resist to pound you. Moral of the story: If you start it there side effects both mentally, hormoneily, and physically; and you can't stop it because whatever few growth hormone you once had will be gone and replaced with this "Saizen" drug.Read More Read Less
