I took Ortho Novum 1/80 birth control pills in 1980 and 1981. I did not miss a dose, however, when I took antibiotics for an ear infection in May of 1981, I became pregnant. At that time no one gave any information out about the risk, not matter how small. My son was born 2/1/82. I switched to a CU7 IUD after my son was born and again got pregnant in April 1983 when I took antibiotics for tonsilitis. My daughter was born via c-section 12/20/83.
