I am starting to swell and I mean swell my loose clothes are now too tight. Does this have any steroids in it?

My five-year-old son was prescribed this drug for double ear infections after another medication did not work. He broke out in hives all over. He has severe food allergies and this reaction was similar. It was very scary. The hives improved after a dose of Benadryl.

My poor little 1-year-old son took was prescribed this medicine for a double ear infection. It made him incredibly irritable and gave him a terrible rash.

The doctor gave me this drug for because he thought i bronchitus. I was having breathing problems and a heaviness in my chest after taking. The doctor thought I might have had something else wrong so he ran lots of test. My reaction began after I had three pills left-- sever swelling, sever rash everywhere. This is the tenth day and I am still having reactions. I have had ice packs all over me for the swelling. Today my right thumb feels numb- no feeling and my whole right arm hurts. The worst thing i have ever gone through. I am a vitamin and herb counselor so thank goodness I know what to take to help bring all this out. My neighbor is a doctor and says that there is no way it is from taking this drug that the reaction would only last 48 hours that it would be out of my system!! I did not believe him. My 12 year old son broke out into severe hives for MANY days. Cefdinir. Horrible medicine.

This drug made me very emotional and had a very difficult time, lots of mood swings, anger and crying, mostly. Would never take it again.

This medicine was prescribed for my daughter. Both times we have used it, this medicine has caused severe constipation and been hard to give her. It has a very gritty texture and bad after taste. I will never allow the doctors to give her this medicine again.

This is a horrible drug!! It should be taken off the market. While on it I experienced rash, swelling of the face, lips, eye lids...then had to be put on Cortizone to coutneract. The pharmacist actually told me he had the same reaction after taking!! Refuse the persription and get something else you know you are not allergic to. Horrible drug!

I gave this medication to my 2 year old who had tonsillitis and sinusitis. By the 2nd day he was running a 103 fever and throwing up. The doctor insisted I keep giving him this medicine. He finally got better on the 5th day. He has a terrible yeast infection which I didn't even know boys could get. I would not reccomend this medicine for anyone.

It worked very well for a common sinus infection. My child (6-8) has taken the liquid form and not had any problems either.

Cefdinir is the only antibiotic I am able to take without vomiting and getting an immediate yeast infection. Before discovering it I simply waited for my body to fight off any bacterial infections naturally, because nothing could get my stomach to keep other antibiotics down for more than ten minutes. I love you cefdinir.

Made me feel light-headed, and upset my stomach.

I gave my 17 year old daughter this medication, after her 4th dose she had symptoms of swollen lips, hands, feet,eyes, and hives all over her body. I called the doctor, he told me to stop the med right away and i did, she went to bed and got up at 4 am due to her hands, feet, face, and joints being so swollen she could hardly move, she experienced severe chest pain and yelled for me, by the time i got to her she was unresponsive!!! I called the amubulance and she was rushed to the hospital, they gave her steriods to fight off the antibiotic.....shes lucky to be alive....ending up having to wear a heart monitor because she still is experiencing a fast heart beat and chest pain....not sure if she will ever be normal again!!!Read More Read Less

Son prescribed omnicef suspension for upper respiratory infection (ears, sinuses, etc). Took for ten days, got better. Two days later broke out in hives so badly he could barely bend his legs. Huge wheals over every joint on his body. Also bilirubin in urine. Three day steroid burst took care of it, but it was very scary. I always ask not to have this medication for anyone in my family now. He was about 11-12 at the time.

every time i have had a sinus infection i have been prescribed cefdinir, and i have been pleased. a few side effects though...loose stools and a yeast infection every time, but out of all antibiotics i have been on, i think this one works the quickest.

I had all major side effects and developed a severe case of colitis and contracted a dangerous germ in my urinal tract. I stayed sick for 3 weeks.

i have plercuy in both lungs and broncitis
