I was treated with the inhaler version of metaproternol (Alupent) for over twenty years. The liquid is not so convenient but it works very well. I intend to try the pill version shortly. Neither is ideal as an emergency treatment but the inhaler was pulled from the market due to CFC's used as propellants. I now use Primatene Mist (OTC) as my emergency inhaler since I have tried and am allergic to all forms of albuterol. My heart does not react badly, as I have been warned from using Primatene Mist (epinephrine). I am doing well on this medication.Read More Read Less
